Question on copying DVDs
I am able to record DVDs onto my Tivo and I am also able to record DVDs onto my VCR since I have a "Video Enhancer" to disable Macrovision. Does this mean I will be able to copy DVDs onto a DVD recorder?

As the legality of this has not really been confirmed on this I am not sure you can talk about this here. I am not sure DVDs fall under the so called Home Recording Act.

this thread will most likely be locked soon... but i would assume if tivo works a set top dvd recorder would work too... but you would be going digital -> analog -> digital so you would lose some quality...

One of the nice things about DVD is that there's rarely a need to "archive" them since they usually don't degrade. That fact, and the probable illegality of copying them, forces me to close this thread.
