Eh, those games are so dated in the gameplay department that a graphic overhaul isn't going to be enough to interest me in them.

I doubt FF2 is much on an improvement on FFI. IMO the series didn't get good until FF6 (released as FF3 on the SNES). Then again, I only have a passing interest in RPGs.

Well, FF6 was when the series started getting way too easy.

I can't comprehend why they're not porting these to the GBA, I'd buy them in a second.

FF6 is when the series started getting just right for casual RPG fans like myself.

FF2 has one of the most incredible stories in all of the FF series! The Red Wings... Palom and Porom... ugh it's the best. Final Fantasy 1 was the best 8-Bit Nintendo game I've played.. bought it new for 10 bucks from a comic con.. I played it 4 times in a row before picking up another game... truly set the standard. I'm praying they will port it over here and only bring in new cinematics and keep the old music. Classic!

I read somewhere that GBA versions are not entirely out of the picture. While they would be down the road some, it is possible. I don't see why Square wouldn't, especially since they did the Wonderswan versions.

You should not be confused with FF4 as FF2. FF2 is on the Famicom/NES.

That's the "American" FF2, right? I have FF Chronicles and that story is from FF4.

They did mention they were planning to completely redo FF7, 8, and 9 for PS2. But who knows if they'll ever do it.
