Buying a clearance console at buy.com

I'm thinking about getting the XBOX from buy.com with a coupon. However, it's listed as a clearance item, with a special returns policy. I have 14 days to return it, only if it's defective. Is there a reason I shouldn't buy this from buy.com? I still get some sort of warranty from Microsoft right?

I'd appreciate any advice. If I don't get it from buy.com I'll get it from Best Buy (maybe with the extended warranty) or Wal-Mart.

I guess it would depend on the final delivered price, but personally I am always wary of these types of offers. Odds are it is already a refurbished item and although you should get a warranty are you saving enough to make it worth your time?

Refurbished? These are new XBOXes, at least as far as they've led me to believe.

Wouldn't they say if it were refurbished?

My apologies then you posted that it was a clearance item. I took that to mean that they were being sold below retail price.

No apology needed! Then, you wouldn't be against getting it from buy.com?

Well no I guess not. I would consider the local sale plus tax versus buy.com with your coupon and shipping.

Yeah, it's $211.99 (B&M) versus $184.99 (buy.com). I think I'll buy it online and get some games at Best Buy with the $15 off sale next week.

Thanks for your input Brian!
