Generally considered to be the best GBA titles:

-Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 (enhanced port of Super Mario World for the SNES) (and to a lesser extent of a must-have--Super Mario Advance 1--an enhanced port of Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES)

-Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2/3 (obviously, 3 is newer--no reason to buy 2 unless you could get it for cheap)

-Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (a much-easier-to-see sequel, White Night Concerto is on the way later this year)

-Mario Kart Super Circuit

-Advance Wars

-Golden Sun

And one of my favorites, that really never gets mentioned anywhere:

-Namco Museum--arcade-perfect ports of Ms. Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Pole Position, and Galaxian. Perfect for times when you don't have the time to really get into a game--mindless, but good, fun. There are other arcade compilation games available on the GBA (Atari, Konami, Midway, and Pac-Man), but this one has my favorite games.

This same exact question gets asked about once a week. Doing a search should bring up some old threads with some great suggestions for GBA games.

There's a great 3 page preview of this game in the new EGM. It looks like it will be phenomenal. It says several times that it is the "true sequel" to Symphony of the Night, being closer to that game than Circle of the Moon was. From the preview it looks like everything is improved but the music. They said the sound isn't as good because they used most of the processing power for the graphics, which look much better than COTM

By the way, White Night Concerto is the Japansese name, here it will be called "Harmony of Dissonance."

At any rate Heavyware, definitely get COTM and a Pelican Light Shield Advance so you can see to play it. I thought COTM was the best game of 2001 on any system.

Wario Land 4 is another good one that hasn't been mentioned.

Also don't forget that the GBA plays all Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. Zelda Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons are two must have games.

Is that a real game or just a joke? If real, is it released in US? What's it like?
Curious, and looking for answers.

Lotsa time = 5 seconds it takes to use the "Search" function.

Well it takes more time for another member to do the search and post several results as links.

I usually just tell them people posting duplicate threads to do a search and ask the mods to close the duplicate thread.

I heard about this game but I didn't know it already came out. There's a 100% chance it will never be released in english, but you can order the japanese version from www.ncsx.com. There's no territorial lockout on the GBA. There's also a Dreamcast game too but its sold out...they sell like crazy! It says its a "love adventure" , which means its like tokimemo. I better stop now though it makes me look like I know too much about it.

Back on topic, in the search you'll notice I reccomend Castlevania: Circle of the Moon!! Its awesome! That and Super Mario World.
