I have a Pioneer VSX D607S, bought 2 years ago. I just picked up a set of headphones to use with my reciever. When I plugged the headphones into the reciever, sound still comes out of my home theater speakers, which defeats the purpose of the headphones!

Whats the problem???

If you have a speaker select, try unselecting your speakers.

You actually switched your speakers off with the speaker selector?

Or you tried to find a speaker selector and didn't find one?

I don't see a speaker selector on this (limited resolution) image. Maybe it's in one of the setup menus.

Found the problem, the headphone jack was not seating properly, seemed to be too wide at the base. I exchanged the headphones for a another set and it waorks fine!!


Stevevt, actually it has the A/B speaker selector. My speakers are hooked to "A" . I don't use "B". So I had selected "B", but then no sound was heard in the headphones.
