What's up with Costco?
A new CostCo just opened in the area and I decided to go check out the selection and see if I could put the 12/9 Universal coupons from the Sunday paper to use. Low and behold, most of the DVDs are pan and scan! I was specifically looking for The Grinch and Mummy Returns. With cases upon cases of these things, you think they could have at least a few boxes of Widescreen? Oh well, picked up the Marilyn Monroe set for 42.99 + tax instead.

The Costco out here (Prescott, AZ) has a pretty decent mix of WS & PS discs. But I have noticed that they only carry WS if the disc is only available in WS (ie. they have no choice). The ONE disc that we were waiting for (Willy Wonka) there's separate versions WS & "Standard", but Costco only carried the "Standard".
I ended up buying the WS version during my monthly pilgrimage to Fry's in Phoenix.

Just got back from my Costco (Arlington, VA) - while I have no interest in picking up the Grinch, it was very disturbing to see only Full Screen copies of Grinch there.
If I didn't think that future SEs are coming out, the Star Trek Movie Collection was a pretty good price there - $159.99.
They had a lot of "actor" 3-packs - Costner 3-pack, Pacino 3-pack, etc.
