official Dance Dance Revolution pad ?????

Hi. I am looking forward to purchasing Dance Dance Revolution for my playstation (yes, I have not traded my "original" playstation for a playstation 2). I don't know why, but it is very difficult to find an official konami dance pad. I finally found one at Electronic Boutique and an official konami game & pad bundle costs $80 !!! This seems a bit expensive. I can get a redoctane pad for $40 + game = $70. Is there any place where I can get an official konami pad for under $50? Although I have checked the ddrfreak forum, in your opinion, which pad is a better value? Thank you!

The Konami pad is MUCH better. Don't go for substitutes.

I was lucky enough to pre-order the game & pad bundle, and it only cost me at $60.

Got it from Gamestop.com a long time ago. But they don't have the bundles anymore, I think.

If you do decide to get a third party mat, I heard this modification works wonders and makes them as good as the Konami mats (so he says) but I haven't had a chance to try it out myself.

My opinion is that the RedOctane one (biased I am, I suppose- although this opinion is derived more from what I've heard directly, not on my own own observations of it's use) are pretty good, even compared with the Konami one.

BTW, the level six mod was one of the bases for the development of the RedOctane pad cover

Pretty sweet deal if you buy 5. I'd go in for one.

This is actually pretty good, until it breaks. I used one for a month, and then my foot shattered through the left arrow panel. That kind of.......uh...........hurt. And this is mostly using it with my softer sock encased feet instead of shoes.

The only pads you and your alter ego todinator69 should be looking for would be in a padded room.
