BATMAN (1989 movie with Jack Nicolson&Michael Keaton)

I think these Batman films were on DVD so early, I'm pretty new to buying DVD's, so used to special features and things like that, but disappointed when looking at the cover for Batman DVD, would of been really nice to have Tim Burton's commments on things, and a behind the scenes documentry or something, maybe Warner will consider doing a special edition, anyone know any news on it.

But to the film: How good is the picture and sound?

Thanks for your time, oh and I'm new forumer here, nice to meet you, those who reply.

Enjoy your day/night

p.s I know its a older film to other reviews in the forum, so no need for long reviews, I know you'v all likely to have seen it, just want to know about the DVD quality of it.

Welcome.

Picture and sound are fine, no extras I believe, not even the trailer. But worth picking up for a good price.

Also, keep in mind there's a rumored special edition of this in the works...

1.33:2, I've never seen a movie in that ratio before. It must be quite narrow.

Video Format: Anamorphic 1.85:1 Widescreen and 1.33:2 Pan & Scan

hi. i picked up this dvd at walmart for $14.95.......you can tell its an early-to-dvd transfer, no extras and the picture quality is only so-so. remember, much[all] of this move is at night, and night scenes sometimes suffer from grain, this one is no exception. [if you are looking for a perfect transfer of a dark movie see the crow se]

anyway, its still decent for the price, although its cheesier than i remember it being [the "gotham city buildings" in the background look like they were made in my garage].

still, if you are a fan of the original movie and find it for a good price, snatch it up. dave
