Re: My Bloody Valentine remake, in 3-D

I thought the ending they used sucked ass and I felt cheated.

Spoiler:
I really was expecting a Scream type of ending as the movie moved forward. I was expecting the sheriff and his buddy to be the ones doing the killing. However, they felt the need to deceive the viewer and delivered an ending that we didn't expect nor should have expected just to try to be smarter than the average viewer. If they hadn't shown us the scene where he watches the murder in the mine then I can live with him being the killer but they had to be deceitful and for that the ending sucked.

Theaters add a $2.50 surcharge for the 3D glasses. So yeah.

As weird as it sounds, after that scene...
Spoiler:
the killer is so obviously Axel the sheriff that I knew with absolute certainty that it was not.
And since the above scene showing Tommy to not be the killer was shown in the middle of the movie, I figured that he must be involved somehow.

It was worth it to me. I wouldn't watch the movie other than in 3D, though. If I saw it in 2D I would have walked out. It's a pretty bad movie.

thanks for the info. i've been on such a 3-D kick of late, what with the SB commercials, "Chuck" and "Friday the 13th: Part 3-D" this just seemed like a natural progression and perfect theme for this week. i guess i got some thinking to do...

I would definitely recommend watching MBV. Spend the money, the 3-D effects are awesome and far superior to the Super Bowl and Chuck episode.

Stop asking questions and get your ass to the movie theatre.

I will say it was also because it was in a theater, and not one of those kiddie movies that are in 3D. I'm not saying I don't enjoy those, but this had a grown-up feel obviously and some of the effects were really fun.

Better hurry, like tonight. Most 3-D theaters are running CORALINE as of tomorrow.

Re: My Bloody Valentine remake, in 3-D

There might have been bloodied and slain people with heart shaped candy boxes in this movie but not once did I see anyone be someone's Valentine. Except for this guy who was cheating on his wife, but that's just wrong so that Valentine doesn't count.

The local AMC20 is having midnight showings on Fri/Sat. I think I'm going tonight.

Yep. This is completely gone from my city, which is weird since it made decent money and only opened a few weeks ago. Oh well.

I just watched the uncut orignal.
Spoiler:
the dryer scene in the remake is shit compaired to the unrated version in the 1981 original.
