Note that the list is just based on movies the actor has appeared in, no matter how small the part. So it's not really a good indicator of how "bankable" the particular actor is. Warwick Davis gets such high rankings for being in all the Harry Potter films and Star Wars Eps 1 and 6, but it's not likely the grosses for those films would've changed significantly had his roles been played by someone else.

I had never heard of Frank Wlker. I'm suprised Samuel L. Jackson is that high up there.

I'm thinking more of actual physical appearences though. I would not consider voices from the cartoons to count. Or body doubles and stuntmen. Eliminate voice only appearences would probably change the rankings quite a bit.

The rankings at boxofficemojo might be more up your alley, since they only seem to count "staring" roles, or at least not minor ones.

They do seem to count voiceover rolls though.

I wonder if Samuel L. Jackson's total's (in the list on page 1) include the numbers from an after the credits cameo in a 2008 summer movie that's made a few bucks.

I wish someone would do this sort of thing, but counting "asses in seats". The box office gross for Pirates of the Caribbean is counting $10 tickets. Star Wars is counting $3 tickets. And Gone with the Wind is counting $0.05 tickets.

Frank Welker was a running joke among my friends back in the 80s. Always hated that he pretty much did the same fuckin' voiceovers for every character.

At first I thought Diaz was ridiculously high, but then I remembered how huge the Shrek movies have been.

Yeah, but his animal work is pretty amazing.
