I'm sure they didn't. They certainly screwed us hardcore but having season 1 remastered though. Bastards... unless of course, the season 1 that was put out in the slim pack boxed set was remastered and that's what they included here, I don't really know if the slim pack was or not. I'm surprised DVDTalk didn't review the season 1 box set to compare picture quality. Anybody know about this? If the slim pack box set for season 1 was remastered or not from the single disc releases?

SOLD! I have the Brady Bunch Complete Series, and this packaging, although gimmicky, will hold up. The content alone will thrill my mom.

A very classy package. Thanks for taking and sharing the complete set of pictures, they've caused me to go out and spend my $$$$ this afternoon.

I'll head over to Target and get my set and try and not send it to my mom before Christmas!

I don't know but I doubt it. Otherwise they wouldn't pimp it out like that.

After looking over the pictures, apart from the booklet, I'm very glad I have all my slimpack boxes.

Season 1 was remastered. Originally it was 9 discs and then turned into 7. I'm glad I have the slim packs as this set looks awfully cheap to me.

It really isn't cheap. It's actually much more sturdy than it looks. The cardboard used for the set is pretty thick. I quite like it. At any rate, I don't believe Season 1 was digitally remastered before this Complete Series set. I have a friend that has the Season 1 slimpack set, and I have compared a few Season 1 episodes from the Complete Series set, to the Season 1 slimpack set, and there is a noticeable improvement where the Complete Series set is concerned. I've never seen this show look better. Also, Season 1 of the Complete Series set only has 6 discs.

I am NOT getting this..this is STUPID for people who already have all the seasons individually like myself! I am not double dipping just for a freakin' movie. I LOOOOOOOVE Lucy ALOTTT but it's rediculous making people dd for just a movie and a different package. I prefer to have the show in the original packaging with the way it originally came out. But I do agree this is a great thing to buy IF you do not have the series already.

Most people know that a complete series box will come along. I'm not bothered by that. I'm bothered by them not going back and fixing the edited desi luci comedy hours. There's no excuse for that. The Bankhead episode is one of my favorite hours of televisio programming and they've ruined it for me by not releasing it intact. It's almost as infuriating as all the music replacements that go on.

Are the dvd's in this new box set contained in sleeves (they look similar to the MASH boxset sleeves but are more flexible in order to access the discs)? If so, do you think the discs may be prone to scratching?

No, there are no sleeves. The paper holders open, and you place the discs in between them. I wouldn't think they are any more prone to scratching than they would be in sleeves. Once you close the package, and place it back into the box, they are quite secure.

Just out of curiosity, what is missing? I've only seen a couple of the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Comedy Hours, and I haven't seen the Bankhead episode. I ask, because in the booklet, for "Lucy Takes A Cruise To Havana", there is a little note stating "Never before released in its entirety on home video."

The same note is not next to "The Celebrity Next Door". What is the original length for this episode? What is the length for the episode as it is released in the Season 7,8 and 9 set?

I saw this yesterday at Target for $139.99 and I wish I had the money because I would have bought it. I'll get it sooner or later.

Mine too. I know someone already asked, but what's missing from it?

I'll stick with my seven slimpacks; I don't really like the new packaging.

I have the slom packs and bought the new set. I compared season one and the picture quality of the new set is much better than the slim pack. Glad I bought the new set.
