When I went they had the $4.99 and $7.99 DVDs in a box in the front. I went for the TV shows that were on sale. I checked their TV on DVD section and found that they didn't have any of them on the shelves. Needless to say I was starting to get frustrated.

However, one of the employees asked if I needed any help and I asked if they had the TV shows that were in the ad, he pointed me over to a wooden box that was all the way in the corner. They only had about 2 to 4 copies of each show that was in the ad in the box. I picked up Futurama, Family Guy and Good Morning Vietnam All of them with tax was a little over $40, about the same as Family Guy would have been by itself normally.

I'm disappointed in Circuit City. I drove 40 miles looking forward to some of the $4.99 titles. As usual they had only a few titles left in those crappy bins, none of which I wanted. I was able to find The Sixth Sense in the regular display though. You never know what's going to be left in that bin.

I went into my local Circuit City on Saturday evening, looking for the titles that were going to be on sale starting on Sunday. I found they had already set most of them aside on a cart. They only had 2 of each of the titles I was looking for, so I bought one of each and took the receipt today for a pricematch. I was back in around lunch on Sunday, and the sale bins were fairly empty.

So were there no special 4th of July sales this year? I thought that there might be a new flyer in this morning's newspaper, but I saw nothing.

Not much left in terms of $4.99 movies at my local CC.

I did manage to pick up Saw II, which is the reason I went today

There was a rumor about that but it was one that I was unable to confirm.
