RE: DirecTV CS

They DO charge a $5.00 "Administrative Cost" fee if you downgrade your programming package from a higher priced programming package to a lower priced programming package. They can waive the fee I'm sure for a number of reasons, but they normally do not budge on it, they claim they need to charge it. (Why they need to charge a fee to type 5 keystrokes on a computer I'll never know.)

However, there is NO fee to actually talk to a representative regarding hardware issues, programming problems or reception problems.

So does this mean if Buy.com makes a mistake with your order, such as sending the wrong item or not not including it in your package, they expect you to pay them ten dollars to correct THEIR mistake?

Lame. Lame. Lame.

Does Buy.com include anything else besides Customer Service with that $9.95 phone call?
I've used Miss Cleo in the past so I am used to paying for high phone calls. However, the information she has provided
me has proved invaluable. If Buy.com could provide the same information as Miss Cleo at a flat rate of $9.95---I'm all
over it.

Also, on those lonely nights where I'm bored and don't feel like watching one of my many adult DVDs or engaging in some
harmless self recreation, I've even called Shannon, Brittany, Whitney, Jessica, Courtney, Rebecca, and hot Susie to
give me the intimate relationships that I am unable to get in the "REAL" world.

Now, If Buy.com were to hire some of these girls, I wouldn't mind paying a measley $9.95.

iDoes anyone else feel as I do?

I never bought from them and am sure there is no way I'm going to start after reading this thread.

Thank goodness I still have DDD for my DVD needs. If only DDD had as many titles as Amazon......Then DDD would have 100% of all my DVD business.

Oh one other thing about Buy.com... If you get on their spam mailing list and have a Mac Powerbook and use Mac's OSX Mail.app app, Buy.com's sends out one of the few spam emails I've received where it will repeatedly exploit a bug in Mail.app and cause it to hang just by selecting the mail message so you have to "Force Quit" it. It's doing (or trying to do) something nasty under the covers with Active-X or something like that. Another reason I don't like them.

That sounds like a valid reason to me.

BTW: Can't you just put them on a "blocked sender" list to avoid getting their SPAM? Just an idea to help.
