Best Film of 1988 (ongoing survey)

Surprised that "Die Hard" is doing as well as it is... I think it's a great movie but seems hard to wrap my mind around it being the "best" of 1988. It does what it does very well, I'll admit. Maybe it's just a preconception I have against "action" films being the "best" of the year?

Sorry - I've been swamped with schoolwork lately... had to pull an all-nighter, and that's gotten me sick. So, anyway, I'm way behind with everything. I'll take a break from studying later today though and get '87 going.

Alright... we've got, yup Die Hard at #1 with 11 votes!
Results:
1) Die Hard (11)
2) Last Temptation of Christ (5)
3) Rain Man (4)
Well, Die Hard ran away with it, despite two highly superior films (IMHO
) coming in 2nd and 3rd, but such is the nature of these polls.
Requesting this one to be closed since Die Hard seems to have a commanding lead.
