Available April 17th; anyone been following these things, or had any good/bad experiences with this store? Our family owns two PS2 consoles, and it would be immensely groovy if we didn't have to trade off games.

Although, it occurs to me... as more games are put out on DVD, this might now be so useful...

Oh, waitaminut... "one wire to solder"... @#$#% that; defeats the whole idea of an external chip.

So, new question: is this the incredible USB mod we've been waiting for, or will there actually be a truly external version?

I've bought from Easybuy before, they are reputable. I wouldn't mess with any PS2 modchips for a few months until something more stable comes out. You don't want to have to keep soldering something in and out of your PS2 on a regular basis.

i don't have any details, but i'm sure the day is coming when there wil be a solder-less chip.
