DVD Talk Forum - How do you know which PS2 games are widescreen?

SSX, FIFA 2001, & Quake3 are widescreen out of the 16 I have. None of them say they are on the box, but in options you can choose widescreen or normal. I think they really are some kind of anamorphic. I played FIFA on my 4x3 tv in the basement with it set to widescreen & it looked pushed together, with lines appearing from top to bottom like it was too compressed. On my 65" HDTV, those games don't look stretched at all, and the 2 player on SSX really benefits from the 16x9 setting. I'm using the monster component cable & fiberoptic, so all the game look great on the HDTV, but the widescreen ones do have the edge. I'm hoping a larger percentage of the newer games will have a widescreen setting. Too bad Starfighter doesn't.
