I have a card that is the size and shape of a credit card. On the front is a picture of Pikachu and it says Pokemon Snap on it. On the back it has a little computer ship with an arrow showing which way to insert it into something. IT also has a WB logo and a Blockbuster logo on it. Any idea what this is?

I know what this is due to the fact that my 8 year old brother plays these games a lot.
That card is a Pokemon Snap Blockbuster Card. What the person would do is take pictures in the game, save the game, and take the N64 cartridge to Blockbuster. There used to be a stand at Blockbuster where you could insert the game and print out the Pokemon pictures. I think that card was like a money card that let you do it. It's useless now. Toss it. What I want to know is why you would have anything to do with pokemon? |
It sounds like a
Gift Certificate at blockbuster. I've noticed that they have been putting out different designs on the gift certificates. You might want to go to your local blockbuster and ask them if it is.
Usually though, there is a value placed on the card. Where did you get it? |
A friend of a friend -wink- is contracted to toss out stuff for Nintendo. He throws out games that don't work (like the memory, or it freezes, etc.). Under contract he can't keep them so they go elsewhere. Part of one of the things he threw out where hundreds of these cards. Just wondering if they threw them out because the promotion was over, or if it was part of something only in Japan or what.

You must live in the boonies.

BTW, they're absolutely useless for anything else, so unless you want to play Pokemon Snap and print out pictures of all the little critters you've captured, they'll make wonderful garbage can liners.
Too bad they didn't use compact flash cards or something... |
