I love the Zelda series so much. I'd have to say that A Link to the Past for SNES is my fave in the series. I really enjoy the N64 incarnations of link too, but it loses a little magic without the classic overhead view.

Also, does ANYONE like Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link for the NES?

Ocarina of Time
Link To the Past
Link's Awakening
Zelda II
Zelda

I'm still playing through Majora's mask, so I can't really rank it yet. It will either be first or second though.

My favorite Zelda game is still the original NES version (the one with the gold cart). I love this game. I remember playing it even before I went to school in the morning.

Long live Zelda!

Actually Ocarina was Link to the Past in 3D. That's what kinda disappointed me, still an excellent game. Well that and the fact that they didn't have the same classic Zelda music.

I'm halfway through Ocarina right now, with my 7 year old son as my helper...

It will probably be my favorite by the time I finish, but of the ones I have finished it has to be LTP.

Ocarina of Time is by far my favorite. Actually thats a bit strange because Majora's Mask is my least favorite and it runs on the same graphics engine.

Adventure of Link !! remember Nintendo ?? I still remember the cartridge was in GOLD painted!!.

I also like Orcarina of time, the music is so nice.

Majora's mask , don't seem to work on me, don't know it is a Rom or Emulator problem.

Wow, I really like Zelda II: Link's Adventure. It was hard enough to make you scream at times, but once you beat it you felt like you really accomplished something. You can beat The Legend of Zelda in a couple hours. Following that, probably Ocarina of Time (for all the neat sidequests, like the horseback Poe huntin').

Ocarina of time is definitely the best. You can't beat that game. I spent a lot of fun hours playing that game.

Zelda II did have a very tough final boss. I remember you had to first hit it with thunder magic and then dodge the stuff it shot at you and hit it with the sword. Probably the toughest boss of any Zelda game.

I think the original NES Zelda is still my favorite, but A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time are not far behind. It really is a great series and I've enjoyed every Zelda game I've played.

Ocarina of time is my fave. I really can't wait for the Gamecube to come out, the new Zelda should look spectacular.

1) Link to the Past
2) The Legend of Zelda
3) Link's Awakening
4) Adventure of Link
5) Ocarina of Time
6) Majora's Mask
7) Wand of Gamelon

I was really looking forward to the N64 Zelda, but was HIGHLY disappointed. I am not really enjoying the "everything MUST be polygonial and 3D" attitude the designers are showing now. I LIKE and MISS the 2D stuff.

I have to say that the original is still the best. I managed to play Ocarina on a roommate's system and thought the story was the best yet, but lacked any real challenge on the monster fights. I still remember playing the orginal: going through Ganon's lair, rooms filled with 20 or so knights that you could only hit from behind, and digging the killer midi music. Ahhh.... the childhood memories
