My little 6 year old buy wants a Nintendo 64 for his birthday in a couple of weeks, I was just wondering where the best place to pick one up is? And if you can give me a few games you guys think my little boy would really enjoy. Thanks for your advice guys!

If you want to go for a used one(like I am considering) you can pick up one for 50 bucks from here: http://www.gamestop.com/product-detail.jsp?sku=900055

I never buy used games or consoles so i suggest you dont either. My GF just bougth a N64 this weekend at Circuit City for $99.99. It was a purple one also so thats a plus. If you want guys for a child i suggest getting games like Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong 64, Super Mario Kart 64 and maybe that Kirbys Dreamland 64(something like that).

Nothing wrong with buying a used system, as long as you take care of them they will last quite a long time. Especially N64 since it's cartridge based it can't really brake like cd based systems. You just need to keep the contacts clean.

Around here the pawn shops sell N64 and PSX-1 bundles for around $50. They usually include the console, power, signal, 2 controllers, and at least one cool game. Frequently memory cards and rumble packs can be had for free by haggling. All this and a 30 day guarantee? Hell yeah!
