Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

Uncharacteristically, I haven't played anything in nearly 2 weeks!

Next up will either be Jedi: Survivor -- although I'm not sure how much I'll be able to play between now and the holidays, and that seems like a game I'd want to go full-bore into -- or Moss on the PSVR2 since it's more bite-sized by comparison, although I was really hoping to get prescription inserts for the headset before starting another VR game.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

Well, I decided!

I have no idea how long I played in my first session, but the card says I'm 40% of the way through. Definitely my favorite VR experience so far.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

Far Cry 4: Valley Of The Yetis (Series X)- Extra time in FC4 World was worth it. I'm just pissed they took away all my skills

GTA V + Online (PS5)
Continuing the Single Player on a little of the online

Terminator Resistance (PS5)

Still early on this one. Fun for what I've played so far.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

I've been obsessed with Last Faith. An indie metroidvania/soulslike mashup. Far beyond what I was expecting. I'm getting close to the end and have put in over 40 hours. If you enjoyed Blasphemous (1 or 2), Last Faith is worth every penny of its full price.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

Finished Last Faith. 45 hours for Platinum but I definitely did more leveling than was needed. Top 5 GoTY for me even with this amazing year we've had. This game was such a joy to play (and also frustrating with some bosses). I'll probably start a 2nd run and do a strength build just to see how those weapons feels.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

I started Hi-Fi Rush a week and a half ago but havenít gotten back to it yet.

Not sure if Iíll see that through or start diving into whatever games I get as gifts. I got Sonic Origins Plus as an early Christmas present, and that could be a bunch of fun since I havenít really touched those since high school.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

Settled on my Disney trifecta:

Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Speedstorm
Disney Sorcerer's Arena

I got and want to play Super Mario RPG whenever I can fit it in. I'm doing a Star Path on DDV that's time-limited until the end of January so maybe once I clear that one. DSS is getting too easy and really only takes 5 or so hours a week.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

Since Fallout 3 and New Vegas prolonged my time at the university by a at least one semester each. I always shied away from starting Fallout 4. I bought it on release, but never started it. Since it getting harder to explain to my wife, why we need an PS4, PS5, Switch, Gaming PC, XBOX One and possibly a XBOX Series X. I started this year to play games I bought, but never played. Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and now Fallout 4.

I still lose whole days, but I remember why I loved 3 and New Vegas so much. I've played 48hrs. in the last three weeks and I was sick last week, so couldn't play at all.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

It looks like I'm not going to be finishing another game before the end of the year, but here's what I have in-progress right now:

Only intending to play the Genesis games. I've played through the original Sonic so far -- my first time in nearly 30 years!

I'm about a quarter of the way through. Not playing this super-aggressively; only 2 days, weeks apart.

Pre-ordered this as a surprise for my wife that wound up going untouched for 7 months. (I should ask next time, especially before buying such an expensive edition!) We're about 3 hours in, which was enough to finish one of the three requirements for the big Sky Race (or whatever it's called).

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2023)

One more for the list! I got this as a stocking stuffer for my wife, and we played at least one 1v1 match with every character. And despite me being the one with the extensive fighting game background, she won almost every match! Itís a gorgeous game with a really terrific sense of humor. Iíve heard good things about the campaign, and Iím looking forward to seeing her play through it.
