initial install per system, with no idea how they’re going to track that across different platforms.

And I’m surprised there’s a lot of talk about this only affecting small indy games. Lots of games use Unity. Lots of mobile games use unity including games like genshin impact.

Yes, Unity has killed themself. There's an open source engine, Godot, that has been coming along nicely, and I expect all indie developers to switch to that. The employees at Unity warned against this change, but as usual the MBAs decided they know what's best and implemented it. Then they tried saying that MS, Sony, Nintendo, and Apple will pay the fees? They're out of their mind.

The threat was made by a Unity employee, so "suicide" is actually pretty fitting!

The "credible" death threat that prompted the closure of Unity offices yesterday was made by a Unity employee, police have now revealed.

A statement from San Francisco police, via Polygon, explained that the threat originated from an employee who had "made a threat towards his employer using social media".

The unnamed employee who made the threat did not work in the San Francisco office, and it's unclear what further action is being taken. We'll update if we hear more.

Sorry, I thought the threat having come from an employee was new information.

Mike is always evolving and has kept this style for the last few years. When he gets really expressive and twisted it does come off a little strange, but it's fitting.

I still like it.

I was thinking the same thing. Have they just aged or something?

Wow, Penny Arcade is still around? I think that's more shocking than this Unity stuff.

Honestly I didn't know either. They stopped being funny awhile ago.
