More info on this is in the other thread - I had asked if someone wanted to start a new thread for the actual game and someone did so I figured I'd just thank gerry in this new thread since I forgot to in the old one.

Got it. Thanks. Weird that Best Buy and Gamestop have the same Steelbook with pre-order deal. I might move my pre-order as I absolutely loathe Gamestop.

Similar to MKX and MK11, I'm looking forward to this mainly for the story. Can't think of any other fighting game, other than Injustice, where the narrative is what has me hooked. (Soul Calibur has a solid premise, but the presentation of the actual narrative has always felt halfassed.)

I think I'll sit this one out on launch and wait until we get the inevitable Whole Kit and Caboodle Edition down the road for 60 bucks or so.

I got MK 10 and 11 after it was released with all the DLCs. I’ll do the same for this one too.

I enjoy the MK series but I’m not good enough to get it day 1.

I wonder how the Switch version of this game will fare. Obviously it won’t be as powerful as the Xbox Series X or PS5 versions but hopefully it’s still at least decent. That’s the only console I have currently tha this is coming out for and I’d like to play it.

I have the Beta of this on the PS5 and it looks amazing. I haven't figured out how to pull off a fatality yet, unfortunately.
It plays with a tag-team system, so that's pretty different than normal MK games.

I would love to get this on day one, but with NBA 2K24 coming out September 8th, I wouldn't have the team or energy to play both.
