Your most anticipated video games for 2023?

Right now I'm the most excited about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel, Forza Motorsport and the Resident Evil 4 remake. What video games that are scheduled to be released in 2023 are you really looking forward to?

Re: Your most anticipated video games for 2023?

Of what we know so far, I’m most excited for:
  • Spider-Man 2
  • Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League
  • Tchia

Also of interest:
  • Breath of the Wild 2
  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
  • FF16
  • Killer Klowns from Outer Space
  • Lollipop Chainsaw
  • Redfall
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  • Street Fighter 6

I’ll keep my eye on Starfield, but I’m expecting it to be a not-for-me thing.

…and Hogwarts Legacy, Blanc, and maybe Forza Motorsport for my wife.

Apparently I didn’t need to add an apostrophe. I blame Marvel Comics.

The only game I'm really looking forward to is Diablo IV.

Starfield I believe will become the next huge open world MMORPG....it's safe to say Elder Scrolls Online is for all platforms, Warcraft for PC....but it looks to be the Space Version of ESO with a bit of no Man's Sky, Starwars, EVE Online. Though I have a PS5 I'll either have a XBox or PC when this comes out

Dead island 2 is another I'm looking forward to.....this is hat Dying Light 2 should've been and is basically it on steroids. It really looks good.
Skull & Bones...I really think this will be a hit...if and when it comes out. We really haven't seen a True Pirate Game and this seems to check all the right boxes.
Armor Core 6
Assassin's Creed Mirage
Atlas Fallen
Lies of P
Black Myth Wukong
.....and for DiabloFans...Path of Exile 2 is rumored to be out fall or slightly after Diablo 4 drops....

Starfield isn’t an MMORPG.

Re: Your most anticipated video games for 2023?

Zelda:BotW2 (whatever it's called) and the Dead Space remake

Hesitantly Final Fantasy XVI - Every time a new one comes out I hope it can recapture the magic of FFs past, but it just doesn't anymore. But the trailers have been pretty epic.

Re: Your most anticipated video games for 2023?

From most anticipated to least:
Pikmin 4
Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Spider-Man 2
Alan Wake 2
Silksong

Starfield and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League might also catch my interest if reviews and word of mouth are strong. All in all, I've been gaming a lot less lately and Pikmin 4 is the only game that I'd say I'm legitimately excited for.

Hogwarts is pretty high on my list now that they've revealed that Simon Pegg is the headmaster. Otherwise:

FF16
Jedi Survivor
Spiderman 2
Armored Core 6

I stand corrected....I thought I saw where it was being made as both a Single Player and going MMO....it appears many think the stage will be set for it to become a MMO much like how Fallout 4 and Skyrim evolved into Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online. I'll pass for the time being, there's plenty of SP games around but a world as big as Starfield will be offering (like what, a 100 Planets)....one would be nuts to think that Starfield wouldn't become one....

RE4 remake definitely tops for me. Fav of all-time, one of them at least. Very high up though.

Re: Your most anticipated video games for 2023?

All the major upcoming releases left this year that I plan on playing:
Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways DLC (9/21)
Detective Pikachu Returns (10/6)
Alan Wake 2 (10/17)
Super Mario Wonder (10/20)
Spider-Man 2 (10/20)
Super Mario RPG (11/17)

The only big leftover game from 2023 I haven't gotten around to is Tears of the Kingdom. I enjoyed Breath of the Wild even though it is one of my least favorite Legend of Zelda games so playing another one of those where they double down on all my least favorite things about BotW isn't that appealing to me but I'll try to get to it before the end of the year.

Re: Your most anticipated video games for 2023?

Preordered:
  • Mineko’s Night Market
  • Spider-Man 2
  • Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Will probably get at some point (on sale, as gifts, via GamePass, etc.):
  • Assassin’s Creed: Mirage
  • Detective Pikachu Returns
  • Forza Motorsport
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III
  • Sonic Superstars
  • Super Mario RPG

Previous 2023 releases I might pick up at some point:
  • Immortals of Aveum
  • Dead Island 2
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Sonic Origins Plus
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  • Pikmin 1/2

I still haven’t fired up Pikmin 4 yet, but that’ll probably be the next couch co-op game once my wife takes another breather from PowerWash Simulator.

Re: Your most anticipated video games for 2023?

Lies of Pi (less than an hou!)
Lamplighters League
THE THAUMATURGE - Most anticipated game for rest of 2023
Super Mario RPG
Gloomhaven Switch
Speedstorm F2P release (9/28)

Still making it through Immortals of Aveum (mostly because of time) and I just picked up MK11 for $12 for Premium edition (Gamepass didn't have premium and no Stallone and no Arnie no sale).
