Picked it up for Switch on Friday night. I’ve barely played it yet (like an hour last night). So far I don’t have much of an opinion but am not sure if I’ll like it or not.
The world just seems kinda boring/generic and the tasks I’ve done have been a bit repetitive it seems like. I dunno though I need to spend more time with it.

It's an odd game. It's like a really generic and unpolished mix of Sonic Adventures, Phantasy Star Online, and Death Stranding.
The atmosphere in the overworld is strangely depressing with vaguely Interstellar sounding music.
The Cyberspace levels feel like old Sonic which is cool but the controls are imprecise and a bit floaty. The music is pretty bad though.
With all that said, it isn't necessarily boring, but it doesn't have the polish that a full priced $60 - $70 AAA game should have. The $35 I paid for it seems fair and I do intend to keep playing it, but it is a bizarre mishmash of ideas.

I wish that Sega would just release a good 3D Sonic platforming game similar to something like one of the 3D Mario games.
Just a basic game that retains the qualities of Sonic but in a 3D environment. I know they’ve attempted but they always seem to try weird things that don’t work very well.

I like their not so subtle nod admitting that they've more or less killed Sonic for 4/1.
