Currently playing it, and I'm enjoying it. Does have the lighting effects problems, so I disabled Shadows and also disabled High Contrast. I'm surprised this wasn't noticed at the latest, in the Beta version.

Running around seems like molasses but then again, I've been playing ESO for 7+ years so could be just me.

Like others have said, getting immersed into the story is exciting (you can't get "immersed" in ESO quests as they have been dumbed-down so much over the years). Graphics are great, and I'm only at level 9, but I'm enjoying taking my time.

EDIT: Currently @ Level 16. Oh yeah, baby.

Finally made it back into this game this weekend and last. Now 16 hours in, Lvl 18. Having fun with it. Now in the Open World gameplay loop where they’re plenty to do and just trying to decide what to do next.
Had a fairly hilarious “glitch” in the Helm quest. I was supposed to infiltrate the bandit camp and kill everyone. But when I got there, I found that they were all preoccupied with fighting a forest troll. I turned invisible and watched as the Troll took everyone out. Then still cloaked, I grabbed the helm. A boss showed up to protect the Helm, but sure enough, the troll made short work of her and her henchmen. Then, still cloaked, I fast traveled back to end the mission. Easy-Peasy

I finished it this weekend at about 50 hours. I had been doing all the collectible and open world stuff but once I opened up the second giant part of the map I just focused on getting the story wrapped up and then later in slower times I'll go back for side stuff and collectible wrap-ups. I found the story overall to just be average but everything else was great and I loved it overall. Can't imagine this not being in my top ten of these year.

This isn't coming out on Switch until November 9 months after the Xbox, PC, and PS5 releases.

Man this game will run so poorly on the Switch. . Honestly it's remarkable that it will be playable at all.

Finished it at around 43 hours. Loved it but it did drag on a bit at the end with respect to the side missions and trials, etc. I quickly let those go about 35 hours in and focused on the main missions. Can't wait for the sequel.

btw, this game did a lot of things right that developers need to borrow from --- first and foremost being a "guide" whereby that book shows you the path to take to get to your destination. Jedi Survivor could learn a lot from that. The two things that bothered me the most was petting cats for no apparent reason and when you went indoors, your character walked like it was in molasses. I couldn't stand the controls indoors.

never understood why its so slow inside, annoying for sure. Ghosts of Tsushima had a similar bit, where you slick up on the pad, and the wind blows in the general direction of your destination. i love things like this, because it keeps your eyes on the main screen and not staring at a minimap.
