What's this...5th, 6th, 7th Delay.....and each time right after it's been...the game is basically finished and just needs more time to polish.....I guess for me that's fine. hopefully the newer PC MB's, CPU's and GPU's will go down in price even more...

I had assumed it was releasing in November for some reason...

With the massive Starfield show today, did anyone else catch the beach /sunbathing part? Possible Holodec for your ship?

That would be so cool if they had user made content tied to a VR holodec gameplay. Endless possibilities there.

I let my Gamepass lapse but I got the ROG Ally and it comes with 3 months of GP which will be enough to test it out and see if I want to reup gp or just outright buy it (when a sale comes out). I'm not in a hurry to play it but I've been very interested in it.

One of the special edition is going to be tempting to get because the 5 day early access means you can start playing at the start of Labor Day weekend.

I'm really hoping they offer a companion app for all smart watches if I can't get the constellation edition.

The Premium Edition Upgrade is up for pre-order at Amazon for $34.99. Early Acess, Useless Steelbook, Expansion, Constellation patch, bonus skins. Doesn't come with the Game, but if you have Game Pass, you don't need the game.

It's not a "useless" steelbook, it's a steelbook "display case"

Re: STARFIELD: Xbox Series X/S and PC -2023

This is going to be a timesink, by the time I have time to play it, it will be five bucks But I've been burned, so if there's a cheap option to try it out, I will. I got 3 months free with the ROG Ally but you don't have to activate GP right away so I may wait until there's a great sale on Starfield or I'm ready to play it.

Who cares if the game is on sale? The game will be free with the Game Pass, so why not activate it when the game comes out?

Because I don't want to go back to paid with GP and the free is only 3 months and that will take over 3 months, it's a game that can give you 100 hours past the main mission, so I just need GP to test it out, either when I'm ready to play it and then buy it after 3 months or test it out for a sale to buy it and then tuck it in for later.

I am absolutely terrible at this, so this is hypocritical of me to say, but even if there's a sale you might as well wait for a really deep discount if you're not going to be ready to play it when the sale is on. I can't see this being hard to find at all even if you just want the physical release.

I wonder how many other empty steelbooks included with pre-orders were deemed "useless" by folks.

Well in most cases steelbooks would actually house the physical content and then the "regular" case would be useless. But I can completely understand why having a steelbook for digital content is considered useless.

Sure, though I am curious what percentage of people actually put their physical discs inside those steelbooks and throw out the original cases, or if they just display their empty steelbooks as-is.
Plus, for PC games that include steelbooks, the physical disc itself (if there even is one beyond the Steam code) is utterly useless from day one.
