Forgot to add, the only thing I do dislike about the game is the save system. They used the same save system as Dead Space 3 where it just saves automatically at certain checkpoints, and you have no control over it. If you try to save the game yourself, you prompted with a confusing screen of last save options.
It's not the worst thing in the world but it's pretty annoying having to remember if you saw the save logo or not.

The most notable change is the increase in speed to the healing animation. As captured by Reddit user u/beat-it-upright, the animation for healing has been sped up significantly, now taking 3-4 seconds in total to heal, rather than 7 seconds pre-patch. Reddit users have also reported that the weapon switching speed has also been increased, and that death animations can now be skipped, although this is yet to be corroborated.
A new update is available for all platforms. Look for combat improvements, performance and stability fixes, localization optimizations, and general quality of life changes. We’re listening and grateful for your feedback. More to come.

Oh man that f'n platform ride - that was seriously one of the most frustrating video game experiences since the original Ninja Gaiden on the NES for me. I'm not a gamer at all and don't like that kind of shit lol. Brutal but I got through it - the skunk gun is where it's at.

They're going to fix this game and there will be DLC but reports are the Krafton has lost faith with the devs due to underperformance

yep...and it's way underperformed on what they thought it would do. But sadly all the hype that built up to release day saw the game come out with mixed reviews that were avg to poor. Numerous complaints about the game day one frm bugs, to story, to action, to AI...it was everywhere. I have a friend at work who got it, played a week and shelved it...said not a lot one can do with a army of mutants with a stick and hands.....he just got frustrated and gave up.

Finally finished this, thought this was a lot of fun, dont get the negative reviews. I clocked in around 22 hours (because I suck and I like to explore the extra rooms), though the major knock I have about the game is the clunky weapon switching. Otherwise, this has my itching to replay Deadspace (or the Remaster).

The Callisto Protocol 3.01 Update Adds New Game Plus and Fixes 'The Protocol is About Life' Achievement
Developer Striking Distance Studios has today rolled out the new 3.01 update for The Callisto Protocol, adding New Game Plus to the game as planned, albeit ahead of schedule. New Game Plus had been slated for an update due 7th February, but is available now, meaning you can use your completed save and items to start a new run.
You'll be able to retrieve all of your weapons, items, and Callisto Credits via the first Reforge station in Black Iron Prison, and experience the survival horror all over again. The patch also includes several fixes, which include a the squashing of a bug that was preventing players from unlocking the 'The Protocol is About Life’ achievement, awarded for completing the game at Maximum Security difficulty.
Performance optimisations and a fix for taking damage when vaulting over scenery also feature as part of the update, and the developer also notes that it has “fixed multiple issues where certain camera angles or progression paths could cause environments to stream out and allow Jacob to fall through the ground."
Presumably, Hardcore mode will be arriving on 7th February as planned, but you can crack on with New Game Plus in The Callisto Protocol now.

I started a new game+ They definitely smoothed things out a little (and even made the injector quicker again) but it still doesn't feel all that much different. I only stasrted a new game+ for any further changes down the road that might make me want to come back.
I still love the game but I"m not in the mood to do a second playthrough.
