Is anyone picking this up? It comes out on Friday. Been looking forward to it for a while.

I am not a video game fan but I do own a PS4 for BD/DVD watching. I am thinking of picking this up.

First impressions:
I played for about seven hours yesterday with four friends. This game is difficult. Just teetering on the edge of being frustrating. The basic plot is four people search for some maps. While another player controls the evil. Then you have to defend a page of the Necronomicon and then the dagger. If you manage to pull that off you have to attack these Druid lookin dudes while getting swarmed by the legions of the undead.
We only got to that point a handful of times and never succeeded. We tried a private match and played three v one and the person controlling the evil won easily every time.
I don’t mind a challenge, but it’s heavily weighted to one side.
As long as you got a group of people, it’s fun for that aspect alone. Playing solo however with people that don’t communicate is a nightmare.
Single player is essential a bunch of fetch quest levels that don’t save your progress. So when you need to survive for x number of minutes and fail, you get to start all over again.

I played the first solo quest and died towards the end. Once it started all over again I was done. The tutorial is necessary but overly long, in my opinion. Might be more fun with friends. We will see.

Seems like this would be a good game for people who work well together in Dead By Daylight.

It's better than The Friday The 13th game in my opinion but not as fun as Dead By Daylight.

I won once out of 5 or 6 times playing. Seems unfairly weighted. My fear would max out like every 5 minutes. I am one of those not communicating guys. I don't want to talk to a bunch of randos I don't know lol. So when I would stray of on my own my fear would jump to the max pretty quickly.

There's only one map. That's just lazy man. Games like this need variety. Playing the same map over and over gets real tedious.

Also, my DLC code for Gallant Knight and S-Mart Employee was accepted but the DLC is not downloaded, nor is it anywhere for me to download it. This is a mess. I'm kind of pissed off with this, the Lego Star Wars month plus bug that has not allowed us to continue on, and the 12 month extension of Plus that I paid for but can neither redeem at the moment nor get my money back on.

at the main menu of the game did you hit triangle? That refreshes the dlc content or something. I’m assuming you also checked the costumes tab on the Army Of Darkness Ash. They’re not separate characters. Just separate skins.
