This is amazing!
TMNT: Tournament Fighters (SNES) and Turtles In Time (Arcade) having online functionality is all I needed to hear :) |
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection - 2022
Wow. That is fantastic. Next to Simpson’s Arcade, the original arcade game is one I’ve wanted to have an easy to own version of for years.
That’s how you do a compilation disc. |
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection - 2022
Yes! Yet another reason to not pull the trigger on the home arcade systems. I'm in 100% on this.

Take my money!
A few years back I had finished up my MAME cabinet and showed my son - then 9 - TMNT Arcade (as it was one of my favorite games as a kid). Since he had unlimited credits, he beat the game in about an hour or so and said "what the heck, it's over??". I explained that that hour he spent was equivalent to about $40 in quarters and an entire summer of trying to beat the game! |

Yup Day one. A lot of my childhood there.

I'm definitely getting this. I played the NES game all the time back in the day. I always struggled in the underwater level where you had to diffuse bombs.

I would pay full price if the release was just Arcade with online play. Everything else seems like a freebie.

I enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II for the NES quite a bit more. I don’t remember if I’ve played The Manhattan Project. I feel like I did but not as much as the second game. I also enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters on Genesis (I don’t recall playing it on NES, and I didn’t play the SNES version until later). Surprisingly I know of Turtles in Time, but I don’t think I’ve played a lot of it either. |
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection - 2022
Probably will be -30% off on release day for PC (like most games if you know where to look for sales)... so I'll buy it then.

Getting this. Can’t believe there’s online functionality, that’s great. I don’t think I ever played the original arcade game. I remember Turtles in Time had a human April on the side of the cabinet.
Also looking forward to Shredder’s Revenge. |

Sure, but what's up with "No napkin, naughty, naughty!" pizza-eating Donatello?!

Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection - 2022
Glad to see it's got both arcade games and their NES/SNES ports. I was afraid it was only going to have the latter.
The Genesis and Game Boy titles will be new to me. Although, why two separate ports for Tournament Fighters? :hscratch: |

Honestly, that's what's keeping me from buying, I love the first part of the original TMNT NES game, but I have never in all these years been able to get past the swimming stage. My reflexes weren't good enough as a kid and they're certainly not good enough now.

Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection - 2022
I’m not very great at these games. Really out of practice and doing pretty crappy.

Tournament Fighters was on NES as well as SNES/Genesis. They’re all unique even though they’re all essentially the same game.
