Half of my day was spent trying to take down
Bloodhound knight darriwill. Felt like I died fifty times lol.
It was worth it cause his weapon is amazing

I really want to play this, but I'm worried about the difficulty. Never played any of the Souls games for that reason but this looks so cool.

Finally got the Metorite staff for my mage. The place I got it is nasty I just teleport back to Limgrave map once I got the staff.

I'm not an expert soul player but this is by far my favorite. It's very difficult in the beginning but once you start leveling and find good gear it gets more manageable. The horse is the best addition as its easy to escape a tough area.

The area in front of Bestial Sanctum is awesome for quick leveling early on - about a dozen or so enemies, each worth 1090+ runes a piece.
I had serious difficulty with Margit the Fell Omen but

I dunno if this constitutes a spoiler but are you summoning wolves or anything (ashes)? As mhg mentioned, they're a solid distractions while fighting him.

Godrick was a pain in the ass
I went and leveled up my stuff a bit before taking him on for good, but eventually beat him.
The game really does hit its stride once you level up enough that most enemies are ready enough to beat, especially focusing on getting smithing stones to upgrade your main weapon. There's a great area early on to farm for runes; start at stormgate and get on your horse and work your way east across the bridge and then follow the path south. Depending on the time of day, you'll hit 20-30 enemies, including two big hungry boys pulling a wagon with a convoy of baddies behind them. If you're feeling even more adventurous, head north instead of south on that path and you can use the wind/tornado thing to laugh yourself up on top of the hill where there are 5 or 6 big hungry boys, each dropping over 1k runes when you kill them. I find them easier to beat on horseback.

Up to level 33; killed Godrick last night. I have a ton of the map open though, thanks to some random teleporting chests I've found.
I already had all the areas after Magrit open and explored before I killed him.
Has anyone run across a NPC that sells Int based magic? I have the guy at Roundtable who sells Faith based spells but I haven't found anyone to sell me more Int based spells.

You can also bring her magic books where she'll sell you more spells.

I have several INT Spells. Theres a woman mage that sells them in one of the starting areas. Can't remember the name but you cross a bridge and to your right there's a big poisonous flower. You can easily avoid fighting it. Theres an entrance to a boss room right behind it. After you fight it (Big Pumpkin Head dude) She'll appear.
You can also bring her magic books where she'll sell you more spells.

Has anyone else come across a normal looking treasure chest that warps you to a completely different section of the map? That's happened to me twice already.

I like those chests personally, they open up other regions quickly, and it's better than the chests from Dark Souls that ate you.

Yeah, that's the case for me as well. One dropped me in a salt mine of some type with these cockroach looking enemies. Took me a good few attempts to work my way out to find a bonfire rather than just fast traveling back without unlocking anything.

I think you're actually locked in when you get transported, and cannot teleport out until finding one of the Grace points.

For me to get him down, I needed a run where the npc support character lived well past him pulling out the hammer. That way they got most of the aggro attention and I could stand back and spam spells. It still took a bunch of attempts.
