For those that have started new game plus, do you keep the summon ashes that you have unlocked? Do they die much easier?

Yeah you keep summons, upgrades, rememberances and most gear, just not key items for plot progression. And no not really, I dubbed NG+ as "revenge mode" due to how much easier it was thanks to being relatively high leveled. Malenia was still a pain though.

Well, I beat the final boss today. It came down to the wire... I was flaskless, he had a sliver of health and I had a sliver of health. My heart was pumping!

I think I will start New Game +. I've never done a NG+ in any game I've ever beaten, but this game is just making me want more. One hell of a game... it has certainly earned a spot in my top 10 favorite games at this point.

Also finished up the game last night. Started a NG+ and got myself back through the Academy so I can respec to use some different weapons. All I need are the trophies for the two other endings (did Ranni's so the other two will be quick) and one for legendary weapons since there was one in the city you could miss and not get past a certain point.

Final boss was super annoying because of how far away they would always stay. I was running far more than I was attacking.

Leyndell Royal Castle is huge, doubt I can get many items inside.

Past Fire Giant in round 2. This time I'm going with a darth maul dex build. I don't recall its name but I'm using the twinblade that drops from the boss at the windmill town.

Took down Melania last night. Died about a dozen times. She was definitely the hardest boss I've faced yet.

Used my Mimic Tear plus I spammed Ancient Death Rancor .

She is, imo, the most difficult boss in the game, especially if you're mostly melee.

It's really only that Waterfowl move of hers that makes her an issue. I beat her on the second try using melee only, but I was specced into bleed which is one of her weaknesses. Burned her down quickly enough in the first phase that she didn't get that attack off. Then in the second phase, my mimic ate that attack the only time she got it off.

I wound up doing the same, but wasn't initially spec'd into bleed and my mimic and/or tiche kept running for the fogged over entrance everytime the battle got going

Tiche seems to be the worst for me about doing stuff like that.

I was around level 220 when I took her on . I overleveled when I heard how hard she was.

Crucible Knight and Crucible Knight Ordivis have me thisclose to getting rid of this game. I’m level 96. With a +8 Mimic Tear. And these guys absolutely destroy me.

Yeah they were definitely the toughest Hero Grave bosses in the game. I didn't even fight them until NG+2 at level 206 and they still gave me a bit of a problem (albeit, each NG+ is a little harder)

Decent reward for beating them but imo not worth getting frustrated over. Their drops also aren't the best ones in that particular dungeon.

Finished the story yesterday morning with 180 Hours logged. Last boss was tough but the ones leading up to them were weak sauce. Some would say that overleveling is "Cheating " I think it's fun to get so powerful these bosses go down quick
Gonna take a break before jumping into PVP and new game +.

As of now this is my GOTY.

This is the best game I've played in a long, long time. Maybe 10 years or more. I never played any of the Dark Souls games before, so the combat was completely new to me.

I want to check out Bloodborne now, but I think I'll be patient in the hopes that they'll release a remaster. Maybe I'll check out Demon Souls on PS5 at some point.

Has anyone ran coop on this yet?....I have a friend who got it and not really familiar with "Dark Souls Type of Games" and like others just got frustrated at beginning and put it away. I mentioned i thought about getting it....played the heck out of Bloodborne...and they said be great to do coop on...and is it a bit late to get in this and from what I've seen there's a lot to see and do in this...it's countless help Articles everywhere and not just on Bosses....

I have been in and out of this game, I only played a couple of hours so I barely scratched the surface. I played Demon's Soul and Bloodborne but never got very far. If you get this and don't mind another clueless player tagging along with you, let me know.

Coop works better in the large "Legacy Dungeon" areas, like Stormveil Castle and Leyndell, and during boss battles.

The exploration of the overworld is better done on your own due to restrictions on Torrent (your horse) who is inaccessible during coop. Fingers crossed they change this with a future update.

On the bright side, the overworld is generally fairly simple and it has multiple things (mimic grace, lightning arrows on the world map, etc; ) that point you in the right direction for story progression.

I'm not big into the souls games so when I got stuck on a section I'd refer to a wiki and or follow a YouTube walk-through. No shame In getting a little help..
