I honestly am thinking of getting a PS5 just to play this. It sounds so good and has become one of those seminal franchises that gets better every iteration. Fuck, I can’t do another console for one game. Even though, I would play other exclusives like Ratchet and Clank. I had a PS2 once, for a little bit before selling it off and loved whatever R&C came out for that system. Ugh.

You would have two Horizon Zero Dawn games and two God of War games to play at the least. Then the newest Ratchet and Clank, The Last of Us series, Spider-Man, etc. Who am I kidding? There's definitely not even a game worth playing to get a PS5.

It's incredible what they have done with this series and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes next.

As good as the First GoW looked, this one is simply a eye feast with amazing amount of visual settings while the gameplay is just as good. But besides GoW, as mentioned there's Horizon Zero Dawn series which the last one was made with PS5 in mind. Then of course Ghost of Tsushima...simply stunning and as far me equal in all accounts to God of War. I'll add upcoming PS5 Games for first part of 2023 is pretty impressive...New Spiderman, Suicide Squad, Dead Island 2, Forespoken....some pretty good PS4 Games that have gotten PS5 Upgrades that look and play well....

But besides the visuals...the biggest change you'll see is the benefits of the SSD in terms of load times and performance. It's also a bit of less worry with the "Mechanical Drive"...what the PS4 uses...will crash. The prices on additional NVMe SSD have come down and right now is a pretty good time to add additional storage.

thanks guys, but i really can't justify. it would be more clutter and a hassle, i think, than anything else. i'm an xbox guy now. i'll just live vicariously through you all.

It's ok to do both...and plenty do....I'm looking to build or buy a Gaming PC to play Starfield and some others...might even go Diablo IV PC route. I still say the Gears of War series is one of the all-around best I ever played especially The Horde...nothing has come close to the fun playing it.

Other than Thor near the beginning, the game started your pretty slow. I'm a few hours in now and feel like I'm getting back in the groove. I'm not a combo/counter/fighting game person so I already dropped the difficulty a notch. It's much more fun now.

Is it me....or can the Bosses spam their Red Attacks more especially with around 20-30% health left?........so far each boss Fight I get them down to the end and like right on cue, they seem to spam Red Attacks like nothing. And I'm almost at 50/50 Strength & Defense with the heavy shield for Defense

I am playing on balanced and yeah I gotta say some of those boss-type battles seem maddeningly hard. There's most often like three+ guys, not just one, or one big one and a ton of those annoying little things on the ground. I like it challenging but sometimes it crosses more into aggravating territory. That's my only complaint though. The graphics are absolutely astounding, and it's a near perfect mix of action and story. I really need to get my axe up to level 3 though...

I can remember last year when it was announced the game was going to be delayed till 2022...and it was a lot of anger, disappointment, let downs...comes to show you, all good things come to those who wait...SantaMonica and everyone who got the game....

I'm close to the end of the main story...at least think so by certain events but I still have some side quests which I've tried to tackle as I went along...BUT...something aren't meant to do until you get a bit higher...like The Berserkers and some portals. I tried one Berserker, and it was over in like 90 seconds and I barely made a dent. A couple of "Portals" are the same way. I had to..cheat...and look up what's up with the Berserkers...well they have different levels from 5 to 9 and are a bit special Portals might be same but it's 2-3 come out and it's relentless....

I'm only a handful of hours in and stumbled into a battle with the Hateful. I really should have left it and come back later, but I just kept dying and starting over. Probably a dozen tries before I finally beat it... and this is on top of being on the level above easy. I suck at combo heavy games.

The beserkers are the valkyries of this game I think. And they can whip your ass even on story mode.

Yep...that is correct.... from Level 5 to 9 but they do drop some good rewards but not good enough to go thru that pain & suffering...well maybe the early levels ones. Plus...without saying too much.... there's another so-called ...lighter version.... of them you can fight but it's a lot of patience and timing.

I stumbled upon a good tip, some might have seen, came across themselves....but on the armor pcs, you can scroll all the way and see what the upgraded stats will be...Do Not Sell or Get Rid of the Starting Armor....I'm using the Chest (Level 8) and Belt (Level 7)...and Dragon Wrist. Also, there are some add-ons that can make melee (bare hands) & shield pretty potent. Especially if you throw axe, freeze...don't recall...and just whale on them

I don’t think you can sell armor. Just artifacts.

Also when you find the squirrel guy and he tells you about the chimes, do yourself a favor and keep hitting them even when he’s right there. If he mentions you hitting them and mentions you must like to hear the sound, keep going

The Hateful are really ticking me off but it's the small area where they are that's even worse....I can beat dragons and all but with these, I simply cannot move much less dodge. I'm dealing with one and "Friend" in a area with steps (a boat dock close by. I can doge to a point only to have the other one corner me and there's no place to evade or dodge. Then if i go into Rage, I've actually got interrupted by the other. These small areas with both Hateful and Portals are killing me.....I feel like I'm fighting in a hallway or small room.....

Holy shit, this game keeps going and going and going. Not that I am complaining, but this seems like it will never end.

Yea...it seems to keep going and I feel like I should have nearly 80% completed yet I don't think it's around 60-65% complete. When I look on maps and shows, there's still stuff to do...like The Berserkers which I might or might not tackle. There's some Portals I still have that I tried earlier that just gave me fits and got to go back. I could go ahead and finish the main story but got in this one area...where the Dragons are...and trying to knock it out but something new keeps popping up. I still have the first area to go back and do....

These Two Hateful I had to deal with...took me nearly 40 tries....put them right with some Bloodborne, Demon Souls and Elden Ring fights......space and area on these and Portals...are just too small and tight. Rage and Runic moves were constantly being interrupted, evading was a joke and seems they knew where I was moving to and it was spam Red Attacks on their part at the right minute. I could go and fight two Dragons or Two Orges with no problem because the spaces were more open...these two were worse than anything I did in original GoW....
