Same. But having had a baby and not having much, if any, time to play video games, if there had be a drought, this would be my preferred time.
Though my backlog is insane!

Which is weird, because here in the States, they must have spent an ass-load of money on that commercial with Ben Stiller, John Travolta and Lebron James.

IGN Review :

Verdict

An enthralling spectacle to behold and an even more exciting one to take the reins of, God of War Ragnarok melds action and adventure together to create a new, unforgettable Norse saga. Impeccable writing, pitch-perfect performances, knockout action – it’s a complete work of art from top to bottom. Reflecting its core themes, it's everything a sequel should be: respectful of its legendary lineage, but not afraid to take it to exciting new places. God of War Ragnarok is an almighty achievement and creates a new high that makes many of its peers look positively mortal by comparison.

Gameinformer....... 9.5.....God of War Ragnarök Review - Next To Godliness - Game Informer "Even from its early PlayStation 2 days, the God of War series has always set a high, quality bar for itself, and with few exceptions, it manages to leap above that bar. God of War Ragnarök is no different"

Gamespot..............9.........God Of War Ragnarok Review - Blood, Sweat, And Tyrs - GameSpot "God of War Ragnarok is a lavish production with pristine visuals, jaw-dropping scale, crunchy combat that is as satisfying as it is brutal, and a world that begs to have its every corner and crevice explored. It's a spectacular blockbuster, but these are the least of its achievements"

Gaming Bolt..........10 Masterpiece.......God of War Ragnarok Review – The End Begins gamingbolt.com "Ragnarok builds on its predecessors in several ways making it one of the best-looking games on the PS5. Does it utilize the full potential of the PS5? No. This is down to the fact that this is a cross generation game but what we have here is still an excellent looking title that sets the visual benchmark for action-adventure games."

VideoGameChronicles........5/5 Stars......
Review: God of War Ragnarök is one of the best PlayStation games ever (videogameschronicle.com) "God of War Ragnarok is an incredibly special game. It's vital in a way few releases are. With captivating performances that carry an amazing story to a jaw-dropping final act, it’s a game that achieves everything it sets out to do to the absolute highest standard"

Gamepur.................10....... God of War Ragnarok reaches the highest peak in blending storytelling and adventure – Review - Gamepur..."God of War Ragnarok is a triumphant success and is a shining example of how you balance story and gameplay in a fantastic adventure"

And just for the record, how is it GoW:R can offer up to six visual modes on PS4/PS5 while Gotham Knights basically gives you one...just saying.....

I'm going to start the first game soon. I'll probably be finished by the time the sequel goes on sale.

I mean yeah. Game Pass is great and all, but as someone who owns both systems and subscribes to both subscription services, there is just nothing in the Xbox arsenal (yet) that compete with the top Sony exclusives. That's really where they shine and make their system far more essential than the XSX. If I missed out on Halo Infinite or Forza Horizon 4, I know would be missing some very good games, but nothing I would feel like I'm really missing out on. If I couldn't play the new Horizon or Ratchet & Clank or God of War game, I would really feel deprived.

Probably the only reason I haven’t sold my PS5.

I started last night...not going to say anything to spoil the fun and surprises...but will say I've never seen so much visual fine tune & options in any console game as this.....I left mine at "Favor Performance" and so far it's working fine....on ASUS 32" Curved Gaming Monitor with 160Hz with VRR.

I think PVC plastic. But it has heft. Weighs probably two pounds. Feels solid in your hand and well balanced. Think I'm going to mount it on the wall over my bar in my man cave on rubberized hooks so you can take it down and hold it.

This game on performance mode with high frame rate setting on is ridiculous. It is smooth as butter.

And the combat is so insanely good. Just fabulous... It will take me forever to beat it, but this will almost certainly be my Game of the Year. It's tremendous.

Yeah the wife and I sit down and play this together so I might be lucky to get a couple hours a day with it. No big deal.

Totally agree. So far I'm loving everything about this game. I'm on quality mode w/a 55" plasma and it looks fantastic. Gameplay and cutscenes are blended seamlessly, and there is a ton of heavy action in the first couple hours. Just blowing me away so far.

Re: GOD OF WAR: Ragnarok - PS4/PS5 - 11/9/22

Combat couldn't be any better...The Axe remains my favorite and it and The Lancer (Gears of War) remain my all-time favorite video game weapons.....on a side note I'm avoiding any guides, best of, where to find this and that period. just going in and searching and finding on my own plus taking my time not rushing. I'm enjoying the scenery & visuals and by gosh I'm not running thru.
