I played about three hours today and I really liked it. I’ll buy it once it hits $29.99.

I still didn’t know what the hell I was doing. I uninstalled the nearly 70GBs right away.

They literally tell you in the demo. You use the left button and right buttons to select a card. You press the up button to select the card and then I think x to play it.

So it's basically a turn based rpg?

Plus a friendship simulation, kind of like Fire Emblem Three Houses but with a card deck building mechanic built into the combat.

Re: Marvel's Midnight Suns (PS, Xbox, Steam, EGS; 12/1/22)

I picked this up on XSX when it was on end-of-year sale. Played it pretty much all weekend. Love it. The combat is a fun twist on tactical without being overly restrictive, and combining it with card play puts two of my favorite things together. I'm even ok with the one-mission-a-day thing (since as far as I can tell, the only "timed" things are availability of the occasional hero op) and so far I'm enjoying the social stuff. I think I'm only in the middle of the second story mission (where you gain a new hero, I believe) and have played 12 hours so far. I don't know much about some of the not-as-main characters but the game has done a good job at getting me up to speed.
The thing I like the least so far, which is not uncommon in games, is "look around the grounds of the Abbey to find stuff."
Great game but quite a bit different from what one might expect a "Marvel" game to be, and I think that resulted in more extreme player opinions.

With the current sales and Epic coupon paid $17.01 for the Legendary edition. Won't get to play for a while but figured I probably won't be able to get it this low for at least another year or more. I love strategy card games and Marvel.

Iíve played a sum total of maybe 6 games last year. God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-Man 1, The Last of Us Part 1, and Immortals of Aveum. Maybe call the last one mentioned mediocre, but I fail to see how the first 5 are remotely mediocre. This is certainly not game of the year material and itís simply not my type of game. So what? Hard pass, but thank you.

You could have had the Digital+ edition and Doctor Strange skin on Steam with seven other games for $12 from Humble Bundle

I'm not into skins, I'd rather have the extra 10 hours of content and extra characters. And I've found in those bundles there's a main game and then filler and went to check out the games for this month and I probably wouldn't touch the other ones.

The physical enhanced edition is on sale for $19.99 at Amazon. The Steam Humble Bundle is still on sale for $11.99 too.

Re: Marvel's Midnight Suns (PS, Xbox, Steam, EGS; 12/1/22)

I wrapped this up about 5 weeks ago. I really enjoyed it but the dialogue / friend building was a bit too much and too corny and the gameplay got to be a bit repetitive. I'd still rather be going thru repetitive gameplay more than the boring dialogue though.
