I barely got started, but I’m ready to dive in this weekend. Does anyone know how/when the free stuff from the add on bundle is unlocked? I see car pass, packs, but only got one pack, and don’t see the free houses yet. Maybe I have to advance further.

You get the free houses as you advance when you open up new sites.

Same issue with the car packs. We hopefully get a lot like in FH4.

You have to buy a DLC bundle in order to play early. I'm just waiting till the 9th to play.

I don’t get driving games. Doesn’t make sense unless you got the setup, wheel controller or whatever? Can’t be any good using a regular controller.

Forza Horizon is open world exploration, challenges and races. It's plenty fun on any setup.

I don't get playing shooters without a gun. I don't get playing Madden without holding a football.

You could always try it since it's in Game Pass and people here have already told you it's great. But whatever.
I couldn't imagine playing this particular game with a wheel, there's too much exploration and stuff.

In a car, not as a car, your character is a whoever you create. Instead of walking around super slowly you blast through terrain at 80 mph in the vehicles you find or earn.

To be fair (and this is my problem with most car/racing games), I attempt to blast through the environment at 280mph regardless of what those pesky arrows are telling me.

That said, FH5 is super fun.

So this is not just a race other cars type game? Has story and you control a person while driving car? Do you control person?

Are we certain those aren't just placeholder images? Can't believe they'd go back to the Hot Wheels well. Especially with a brand-new Hot Wheels game less than a year old.

With the Hot Wheels DLC launching tomorrow, it felt like a good time to ask how FH5 has been going for you.

I got my wife and her family hooked on Forza Horizon, but it seems like FH5 hasn't had nearly the impact that 3 or 4 had. My wife sunk 72 hours into 2, 100 hours into 3, and 125 into 4, but the only reason "her" playtime cracked the 9 hour mark for 5 is because I was using it to get a quick achievement. (Thanks, MS Rewards!) She hasn't played it since right before Christmas. My nephew played 3 for 36 hours, 4 for 44 hours, and 5 for just 5 and a half hours. (He asked us to get it for him for Christmas and everything!) He hasn't played it in more than 6 months, though he has picked up FH4 since. My father-in-law has been playing 5 the most (56 hours), though that's still a long way from the 438 hours (!) he played 4.

I haven't really seen a lot of "what's wrong with FH5?!" posts on the message boards or gaming blogs I read, so I guess I'm curious if this is a widespread thing or just my wife and her family being Forza-d out.

I actually just bought 5 during the Prime Days Sale. It's been fun so far, and my son loves it. Not really any changes from 4 at this point, it's just more of the same.

I own the Hot Wheels DLC but for some reason the area where you are supposed to start from isn’t showing up on my map like it should (though the DLC is in the menu and the game did update). It’s very frustrating.
