I see sports games aren't that popular here but I just got back into them after many ages of not playing - I wanted to try something new and so far MLB The Show and this series has really got my interest.

I suck right now but I'm getting better. Faceoffs were a pain in the ass but I win most of them now. My favorite view to play in is True Broadcast but it's also damn tough to play in that mode as the controls change for shooting (have to push to the left or right based on what side the opposing team is on to shoot instead of pushing forward).

Line changes are a pain in the ass to time sometimes as well. It's cool how you have to be careful with poke check to avoid penalties - that's a very nice detail.

Passing is a nightmare in this game - I can line them up good but it seems the CPU is always right on top of the passing player and takes it away.

I might skip '23 - I heard they kind of ripped people off (no surprise, it's EA) they showed a new presentation mode but then upon release said it was only for certain teams or something. I did hear it's more forgiving on passign though.

I tried NHL 22 last year - bought it because they gave away a copy of NHL 94 (which was awesome). I found the game to be too easy or too hard. I would adjust the settings and score at will but a small tweak the other way and I was getting smoked. So eventually I lost interest.

Regarding NHL 23, I gotta believe it's going to be on Game Pass in the next few weeks.
