I went ahead and put $5 towards reserving the 64GB model. This is going to be exclusively for smaller games that would be great on Switch but are not available on that platform, or ones that are available on the eShop but marked up with the infamous "Nintendo tax".

To be honest I feel like if I get this I would more be interested in playing some classic PC games more than current stuff. There are a bunch of older Star Trek and Star Wars PC games that would be fun to revisit or play for the first time. Among other games I’m sure. Debating on one. Probably would go with just the base model I think.

I got an email from Steam Support. They refunded my $5 and canceled my preorder. I searched my older emails and I can't find any one where I was invited to buy one. That is so weird. Did they cancel it or something?

I put my reservation in within an hour of them being available and have heard nothing besides the confirmation (and it still showing I have a preorder). What’s the point of a preorder again? I don’t even think I want it now.

The fact is I don't even think I want one now, TBH. But it's shitty to cancel preorder made almost a year ago, and without any warning AFAIK.

i got my pre-order selected for the 256GB model a month ago. Ultimately i decided i didn't think the value was there and sold mine. I never opened it. My order was placed about 20 mins after they went on sale.
