Interesting that the previous games are getting a remaster. Not sure I'll pay extra for that l, but I'll wait to see how much of an upgrade it is.

Trying to decide if I should preorder this. Would like to see some reviews first. There are four bonus outfits for Alex if you preorder. Not sure if I should drop $80 on this. Hope the embargo lifts before the 9th.

Okay preordered the Ultimate Edition. My son wants to play it with me, then play the remastered previous games next year.
BTW the Remaster went up for preorder for $40, so paying $20 more than the standard edition for the DLC and the remastered games seems like a great deal.

Went with the PS5 version for (hopefully) some cool Dual Sense integration with aura perception.

^ Definitely a solid deal if you're wanting the remaster. Personally I can't imagine replaying the game or any of these types of games, but especially LiS1. My experience was... my experience.

Played through chapter one. It’s pretty cool. Seems like it has less exploring than the first two LiS games (never played 2). I can leave the controller on the sofa for long stretches except for the occasional Square or Circle button press. Looks great. Voice acting is outstanding. Disappointed by the Dual Sense feedback here which is just garden variety rumble.
I’m probably more cautious in this play through than I need to be, but that’s because the last time I played a game set in a small Colorado town with an abandoned mine, (Until Dawn), things went very, very badly.

And I am so going to make Alex LGBT. That DJ Steph is insanely HOT. -other-

I just finished and, as with the past ones, really enjoyed it. It's probably bad when a game series makes you cry more than real life, though.

Yeah, that sounds about right. It certainly didn't feel like I was rushing it, but I've had a hectic few weeks and finally got a chance to turn on a console and play for hours on Saturday.

Just wrapped it up. Easily my favorite of the series so far and my favorite lead. Not having it episodic was a really smart move on their part.

Did anyone play the bonus "episode?" The core game is on sale for $35 at BB, so I'm curious if it's worth paying more($45 on PSN) to get the one extra level. As of now, it's not available to buy separately on the PSN store.

I enjoyed it but no where near as much as the main game. It also dragged on quite a bit longer then I had expected.

First, this game rocks. The writing and characters are phenomenal.

Keeping it spoiler free and vague but...

So I just finished Chapter 3. The game glitched on me and quit right after finishing the LARP. So when I booted back up I had to go through the boss fight again. Kinda lame. I went with the same decisions instead of overthinking it. So following that...Damn, Charlotte's story got dark. So it's pretty clear that how you deal with Charlotte directly affects the following scene. The following scene for me did not go well, so I thought I had bungled a storyline. Then the chapter ends and where it picks up kinda "fixes" my choice? So, clever writing or simply a way to keep all gamers on the same path? Interesting either way. I'll put my choices in a spoiler below if anyone cares to compare.

Lastly, I just realized Steph is from the original LiS. Only because her voice sounded familiar. It's been so long since I played the original. Damn. Now I can't wait to see how this plays out or if they're tied together in some fashion.

Well, shit. That didn't cross my mind either.

one thing I'd like to see in the stats is how long people take to make those big decisions. There's one I did earlier where I just stared at the screen for over a minute.

I heard the 2nd one wasn't that great - but do I also need to play that one? lol
