I don't normally buy video games, but went ahead and pre-ordered the PS4 version (never upgraded to PS5).

Limited Run is publishing it at retail too, but as far as I know, the run itself is not limited. If it is, I haven’t seen anything said to that effect.

Also, the Switch version is part of Target's B2G1F sale. (Not the Xbox or PS4 editions, though.)

Weird that this releases tomorrow but isn't available to preload on Xbox / isn't in the coming soon section for Game Pass.

I believe pre-load is a feature that the developer/publisher has to implement. It's pretty rare not to see an upcoming GP title, but this has happened before.

The game’s gonna take, what, three minutes to load?

This is because Limited Run Games does not set hard release dates on many titles. It's very much a "when we get stock, it'll go out to buyers & retailers" situation. But they give an estimate of July/August just to be nice.

I didn't post that because I was worried it would take too long to download lol. I posted that because this game has a good buzz, you'd think they'd want to promote it or advertise it. Not just have it appear on the day it releases. Ya know, maximize the publicity on a game people seem to be excited for. Increase awareness that you can spend $15 to play this game (and get like 122 other games with it).

I played it this morning for a bit. Streaming it to my iPad. Tried a couple of levels in co-op and it was pretty fun but then got a hysterical Glitch in level 3 where the characters and enemies didn't load and I just heard punches and saw little robots and things get hurled around by themselves. That wasn't so easy to play.

Downloaded it and started to play. I’m up to Episode 6. It’s pretty fun, but I’m not particularly good at it. I think it would be better to have someone to co-op with. Still a pretty good game though and does feel like one of the old school Turtles beat ‘em ups.

Beat the game one time through with Leonardo. I was kind of surprised how fast I was able to beat it. Granted I didn’t get all the achievements or all the little side goals/items, but still got through it on the normal setting with ease for the most part. It gets a tad harder from level thirteen onwards but it’s not impossible.

Yeah this game was way too easy on the medium setting. Didn't fail at a single level. Most lives I lost was 2, but by that point I had a buffer of five, so not exactly a hard time.
The game is fun, but the combat is super basic. The final boss fight (level 16) was a breeze. I even replayed the final fight with a character I hadn't used, and was able to beat it without issue. Might try the hardest difficulty, just to see what it's like, but I won't bother trying for the remaining achievements.

I had some difficulty and had to replay a couple of stages, but the fact that I was able to beat the whole game in around three hours made it seem pretty easy to me. Still enjoyable overall.

This does seem really easy compared to Streets of Rage 4 and Scott Pilgrim, but I still really enjoyed it. I played through once and unlocked Casey Jones, now I’m playing through with him.

Multiplayer, like when you have a full six people, is insane
I think this game has a lot more depth than I gave it credit for initially. While you can get away with mostly button mashing, there ARE more skilled ways to play it, and you get more power ups and such by doing so.
And the soundtrack is just absolutely killer. How many of you noticed that Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, etc.) did the theme song? And the
song near the end?? Amazing.
This ain't no Elden Ring, but it's my 2nd favorite game this year.

I bought this for my PS5 today. It was on sale for 22.49 on the PlayStation store (10% off if you PS+). I played through seven levels with a friend on co-op and it was so much fun. I usually don't buy new games on digital, but this was worth it. It was $25 well spent (once you add on TN sales tax). It brought back so many memories of playing the Arcade and Super Nintendo games.

I tried playing a random online session with 6 simultaneous players- I had absolutely no idea what was going on and where my character was most of the time. They need to add a little indicator over your character for online mode for just this reason.

My friend and I swapped characters halfway through when we were playing yesterday, I didn't realize you lose your XP when you change characters. I started out with Leonardo and then switched to Donatello. I lost my extra hit point and my extra special move meter after I switched and had to start over with Donatello.
