Great choice! I was reading through a list of 'great games that you can finish in one sitting' on ResetERA, and this was one of several that caught my wife's eye. A Short Hike was her top pick, and she loved it (along with Donut County and Gorogoa, all of which she tore through last month). And after finally selling her on Wreckfest a couple months back, I'm going to see if I can get her into Destruction AllStars. I mean, it's "free"!

And as for myself, I just got the last of the achievements in Immortals: Fenyx Rising on the Xbox Series X. I'm probably going to take a break for a week or so until the Super Mario 3D World redux. Couch co-op is the intention, but we'll see if that takes. I had such a blast with this on the Wii U and am very much looking forward to revisiting it. Barring any surprises, the only other game on the docket for me right now is CrossCode, which I got as a Christmas gift from a former DVD Talk-er.

Halfway through Last of Us 2 and its very good but brutal so I think I am going to split my time between it and starting Persona 5.

I haven’t played HZD since August. I have two missions left in the main story, but what did I do? I started The Frozen Wild expansion instead... so I could refresh my skills before heading into the final acts of the main game.

I’ll finish both parts by the end of the month.

Then I’ll move on to either Super Mario Sunshine from Super Mario 3D Allstars or start playing Spider-man: Miles Morales.

This was after going through everything in the KH series starting last Spring. I'm skipping the DLC Re:Mind since by all accounts it's not worth it. The game was fun although very easy on the Standard difficulty (it sounds like "Proud Mode" for this is equal to standard from previous games). I like how the new worlds were realized although they seemed to bail on all the Final Fantasy tie-ins for this game. I don't like how at the end:

More of a mystery/horror visual novel. Not quite sure what I'm doing ... really want to avoid any spoilers so trying to work out the gameplay without looking anything up. My general impression is that if you just keep playing you'll eventually be working your way through the story. Like other visual novels, this has different branches based on decisions (and at a certain point the "true" ending will open up).

I wonder how many people go into a game like this not knowing how they work, get an ending (even worse, a bad ending), and think that's just the end of it. It certainly never tells you "Hey ... that's just one ending! Go back and make different choices for other ones."

I’m jostling back and forth and just torn between playing Cyberpunk and continuing Hitman saga. One thing is I love Hitman type gameplay and does give me the yearn to play, but CP just seems like it could be so immersive and intricate. Plus, FPS, which I didn’t even know. The driving is terrible though. But, early so not much action yet. So far I got 1 upgrade from a fixer and killed one psychocyber or whatever.
