Hopefully they'll allow for re-alignment of conferences

That's actually interesting though. I wonder if they have any sort of deal with the PAC-12 for licensing. By 2024, the teams will all be in their new conferences and there will be the 12 team playoffs, but it would be cool if you could still play a season as UCLA in the PAC-12, or Oklahoma in the Big XII.

Re: EA Sports College Football to return

Hopefully by next Summer all the conferences are sorted out for the most part. I could still see a move with Florida State if they want to be difficult but I expect the ACC to bend to their every will. Other than that, most conferences should be set after California and Washington State (??) join the ACC.

I mean, I'm just expecting them to use the Madden engine and slap in college players and stadiums. That's not very exciting to me.

Yea, I don't give a shit, do that. The NCAA games were also a testing ground for new features before they went into Madden which I thought was fun. I don't give a crap if they just release one of these and then it implodes for another 10 years. I just want to play as my college team one more time. Hopefully they can work it out with Auburn to actually have their fight song in the game. Drove me nuts that this was issue but I guess Auburn doesn't own the song and I'm assuming EA doesn't want to pay both the owner and Auburn.

*Edit to say I haven't played a Madden game since probably 06 so it's kinda all new to me which is why I don't care if it's Madden with college colors slapped over it.

July 19th release. Standard and deluxe editions. For $150 you get the deluxe editions of this and Madden 25.

The 150 version proves that all the additions for the Deluxe are worthless nonsense. God, I hate EA. But I will definitely buy the standard at launch. Too many memories of late-night recruiting sessions.

Actually the $100 proves that. The $150 version includes Madden 25 Deluxe, that seems like an okay deal for the extra $$

That's what I mean. The 150 version gives you the Deluxe content for both games for an extra $5 each, rather than the $50 upcharge if you buy them separately. Thus, telling everyone that they're being ripped off if they buy Deluxe of any EA game. Which everyone already knew since it's just digital garbage but this at least proves that it's worthless (or at most worth $5.)

Re: EA Sports College Football to return

I think everyone already realized that Deluxe digital content has no real monetary value. I don't think the two-game bundle affects that one way or the other.

Re: EA Sports College Football to return

Holy shit those graphics look great.

And wow just seeing actual names as opposed to just generic numbers is an adjustment.

I think the last NCAA Football game that I bought was the one that had RG3 on the cover for the XBox 360.

I haven't read up on it, this new game will feature the new divisions for the former Pac-12 schools right? USC and UCLA will be in the Big 10?

These are just select names and not everyone, right? I can't imagine they paid for the rights to every single player. And did they discuss roster modifications (so the people who do the Lord's work modifying rosters and names can still do so)?

Every player was given the opportunity to sell their NIL to the game for $600 + a copy of the game. Some star-level players got a bonus deal. Some players (like Arch Manning) declined.
