Okay I checked what I own (grabbed the free Xbox version but own everything on PS4). Like you, I own Hitman 1 but not the GotY Edition and none of the DLC. If you want all the missions, you need to buy the upgrade.
But between the content of the first full game, the second full game and the third full game you have days and days worth of replayable content.

If you buy Hitman 3 now all those missions should be available to you to play in Hitman 3, right away (but probably after completing a tutorial of some sort).

Here's the Hitman Legacy Pack FAQs in regards to importing Hitman 1 levels to Hitman 2.

I am a little confused if you need to pay $10 for it or not. If it's an additional $10 for the first levels, that's not the end of the world, but I thought it would be free for owners of the first game...

i believe you do have to buy the Legacy pack upgrade if you only own the base Hitman 1 game. when purchased the Legacy missions can only be played within Hitman 2, and therefore when you purchase Hitman 3, all of that previous content should be available in Hitman 3. i believe. so yeah, $10 not a big deal, but i do believe that is necessity to get all content to be playable through Hitman 2. i must have just purchased the Paris level separately. but if you just have the base game and not all the DLC missions, the upgrade pack will give you the DLC missions, playable in 2. so fucking confusing.

i went ahead and bought the Legacy Pack for H1 and the Expansion Pack for H2. i think now if I buy H3, i'll have everything.

I don’t understand this. I try to open the Patient Zero campaign and it tells me I don’t have it. When I go to the store, it tells me I own it, so I reinstalled and still the below. I don’t know what to do...



literally, everything i downloaded today it still says "Get Access", go to store and already purchased.

In Hitman 3 store on the PS4, under the DLC tab, there was an option for me to buy all of these items, which showed as free for me

Once purchased and downloaded, I am now able to access all of the Hitman Trilogy content in the game Hitman 3.

i'm downloading 3 now, but none of H1 or H2 content is downloading with it. is that because it is already downloaded? will i be able to access all my content once H3 downloads and did i spend the $20 for nothing? i could probably get a refund from MS for that. i still don't know why i couldn't access any content i bought for H1 and H2 and I created an IOI account and everything linked up.

and Deck...can you access all that content from the first 2 games? like have you tried to go into them?

But I know for a fact that I haven't purchased it (since I own it and the DLC on PS4 and have since launch) and as it has never gone free like Hitman 1.

I bet that what you and I are seeing is a free intro to the game but not the full game. There is an item called Hitman 2 Free Starter Pack and I bet that's what you have downloaded.
I can see the actual game is still unpurchased and full price for me :



You can check on Xbox Store to see if you are offered these items or not

Worse case scenario (and as above I think this is the case), you don't actually own Hitman 2). Then you can borrow a copy, rent it from GameFly or buy it from Best Buy for $19.99. I know you don't like disc games, but once it's been inserted, you can get all that Legacy content for free in Hitman 3. If you want, I could even use my GCU discount and after you Paypal me the $16 +tax cost it would be for me, I could have a copy shipped to your address. PM me if you're interested in that. Would love to screw Best Buy once or twice more before my GCU is completely deactivated.

Then go to Hitman 3 Page and scroll down to the Add-Ons. The Hitman 2 Access Pass and the Hitman 2 DLC Access pass should both be free for you to purchase

Are you trying to play 3 or 2? Because you kept asking about bringing content from 1 to 2.

Navigate in 3's menu. Go to Store tab in-game. Select and download those Legacy packs or Access Passes (which should be free). Close and relaunch the game. They would have to be there (Under Campaign tab) . Seriously it was so easy for me. Just like this

Also note : If you never played 1 or 2 before, don't bother with the Hitman 2 Progression Carry Over. That's only for your progress in-game getting moved to Hitman 3. And right now it's incredibly buggy and not working. (I did get my progress carried over, but it took a while). If you have no progress in the other game, you don't need that

that was it. i thought i had to get everything into Hitman 2 from Hitman 1 before I went into Hitman 3. but, as usual you're right. i just went into Hitman 3, didn't even have to do anything, didn't have to go to the store tab, select any legacy or access stuff, nothing from the videos posted, just linked my IOI e-mail and it is ALL there and accessible. EVERYTHING! i did skip the carry over part that you mentioned as i haven't even played 2 yet, but just going into the training mission for a quick bit, i know i am going to love these games and they do look great. the one time i went into Hitman 3, i must not have seen anything because although ready to start it wasn't finished downloading completely.

i hated to take up so much space in this thread and thanks to all, Maxflier, well, that's pretty much it. seems mostly a Decker and OldBoy thread. mhg too for your patience and not cremating me

i was even on phone with MS last night at like 8pm, for more than an hour before we got disconnected and he never called back (even through the waiting process he was talking to me about the Batman: Arkham games (which he seemed to play and like) to i guess, break the silence. i couldn't really understand him because i don't think English was his native tongue, but he was cool, patient as well), i did a factory reset on XBOX, he told me to un-install some DLC and then re-install, but nothing was working. he then left me and said he probably would have to give me the number for the developer of the Hitman games, he put me on hold and never came back. but, all because i was doing it and looking only in Hitman 2 and never bothered to go into Hitman 3.

so that's it. it's there, frustration rescinded and i will hopefully begin the journey later today.

one last question...i start the whole journey with the ICA training prologue in Hitman 1 campaign, right? and then it will be pretty straight forward where and what to do next?

i mean i see ALL these locations in on the bottom in Hitman 3 menu, these different modes or whatever and looks daunting, but i guess they are pretty much lined up in order of what to play, i assume?

Glad it worked for you OB. Sure you can play the whole thing in order after that training mission. I never played the Prologue, but I think it would be fine to start there and move through the games and scenarios in sequence. There is a bit of a story but I never found it that interesting. Every episode is a stand alone experience and they do ramp up so it makes sense to play the earlier ones before the later. It's a TON of content, and it's designed to be replayed. Not just stealth vs guns a blazing, but all sorts of different options for how to complete a mission. Once you beat a level you unlock new equipment and starting locations and stash locations to try it again another way entirely. It's very cool and almost toy - like in its gameplay.
One word of advice : listen to the NPC conversations. They will give you a lot of useful information about ways that you can complete your missions.
