Alright, finished up the first playthrough last night and got the Platinum. Solid game. I need to replay 2016 to see which I like better but I do love the hover boots in this one to get around.
I'm probably 3/4 of the way through Challenge mode and have been grinding for bolts to re-buy and upgrade to all the Omega weapons. Finding it tough to keep a high bolt multiplier going. I can get it to the 12-20 range but it's tough keeping it going, but when it is that high it's nice seeing the bolt counter just grow exponentially.

I played through and really enjoyed this game, something about the pacing and dimensional jumps just worked really well for me, as did the newer character roster.
Just started the 2016 Ratchet and Clank to see if there was something I missed when I tried it originally (I couldn't get into it on the PS2 or PS4, or Up Your Arsenal for that matter) and naw, still can't get into it. Will push forward with it a bit more with it though.

If you don’t mind some repetitive cheese, do the arena challenge with the frozen amoeboids. Your multiplier will carry over from run to run, the amoeboids are pretty easy to manage, and between the payout for completion and the bolts those slimeballs leave behind, it’s a really fast way to get millions of bolts.

I platinum this game yesterday and overall, I found it enjoyable. I’m glad that there were no timed race trophies as that it’s keeping me away from a Platinum on the 2016 remake. The arsenal was a bit lacking from the 2016 one as I missed the Gravitron. I have only played the 2016 and this one so wondering if it’s worth searching for the PS3 HD versions of the early games?

I might be biased because they’re some of my favorite games. But yeah the main PS3 ones are better than R&C 2016.

Yes, but be warned that the original Ratchet and Clank has a pretty different control scheme, which I found miserable (as someone who was introduced to the series with Tools of Destruction). I didn't realize how much I rely on strafing! But the other two games in that collection hold up really well, and all the games that originated on the PS3 are fantastic. Well, aside from Quest for Booty, but that's an easily ignored detour anyway.

I finally got rift apart used from gamefly for $35 as there was no black friday deals. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty and the game just seems super easy. I'm very close to the end and just seem way more OP than usual. That being said i've had a blast with it.

It was a blessing that Sony decided not to shut down the PS3 store just yet since I was able to get the Ratchet & Clank PS3 games from there and didn’t have to chase down for the physical copies. Prices were decent too. I bought the HD collection, Tools of Destruction, A Crack in Time and Into the Nexus.

my goodness does this game look so pretty. i was awe struck at the animations and that each time verse or whatever was brimming with life and gorgeous color or sometimes lack there of. just stunning. i just started playing, but so far amazing and fluid graphics.for me, best looking game i've played on PS5 since i got it a couple months ago.

I’m having a blast with this game. The platforming and exploring and all the guns and gadgets. Plays so well and looks amazing. Like I was surprised at how detailed and rich it looked. But, just tons of fun to play. Ragnarok next I think. Or maybe finish Spidey.

Finish Spidey for sure. Ragnorok is quite amazing as well.
