So I finally finished the main game after over 70-80 hours. Can we talk about the ending (behind spoilers, of course)?
I am pleasantly surprised by the after-game though. Having weekly quests for unique rewards is a smart move. I got this week's goodie and will likely return for those often.

I really dug 6 as well; it’s the first mainline FC game where I had good enough a time to seek out all the achievements! I wouldn’t have minded a slight delay for some additional polish, though — especially to deal with that nasty tearing — and I’m not sold on changes like the clothing perks and weird weapon balancing.

I liked the world they created in this, but I'm just not compelled to explore it like I am in, say, Valhalla or Odyssey.
They do give you some fun vehicles and toys to use in the world - it's like a playground, but just something is keeping it from being as fun as it should be - and I can't quite figure out why.
BTW, all 3 of the DLCs kinda suck - it's just the same thing in old locations, play until you die, rinse repeat - similar to a rough-like.

Did ya'll do the Rambo mission and get the bow with exploding arrow tips? It's one-shot for most helicopters and hella-fun.

Re: Far Cry 6 (10/7/21)
So I threw this back in last night (that's what she said) and played for hours....whatever past updates were installed turned this into an actual game now and I'm having a lot of fun.
Since I decided to do the Rambo mission (which by the way, if you buy the standard recurve below, I think it does more damage?) and made me laugh pretty good, especially with how the weather changed, that was outstanding.
Now, since I was already all the way on that side of the map, I started taking out all the military targets and air patrol cannons and a bunch of other stuff at the higher rank - I can't wait to go back and breeze through all the lower ran missions since doing so as well. This is also the first time I've ever
decided to play all the side stuff before the story missions as well.
With all that said, there was absolutely no reason to make this world as large it is. So much wasted area BUT, it's actually not too much of a complaint as I'm thankful for fast travel. I wonder, is this map bigger than RDR2's map?
Can't believe how much I like it now. The resolver weapons and supremo are pretty goofy but can definitely sometimes be satisfying to use for sure.

Re: Far Cry 6 (10/7/21)
So this game went from broken and unplayable to probably my best of the year.
I loved the story but unfortunately it lost a lot of points for the Woke shit portion. I really hope society snaps out of the woke phase soon - it's in all media.
At first I hated the large map size but then really ended up loving it - this is the largest game I've every played. Back when I first started playing when the game was broken, it didn't look anywhere near as good, so glad the updates after took care of this. It just feels like the world never gets old due to its size. I also like how you can feed random wild animals.
I view the ending as Castillo changing his mind due to desperation but I agree on the Military presence increasing - that makes zero sense.
To any newcomers - before starting the main story line ("operations") missions, take out a ton of Military checkpoints and FND bases to level yourself up quick - it will really make life easier.
Amigos were good but chicharron, as great as he is, is just too weak. Guapo's self revive is excellent and Oluso is awesome as well. Chorizo is just there for aesthetic cute purposes (and of course, it works).
There are some memorable main players as well, Philly (he was one of the best, wish there was more with him), Juan, and El Tigre.
Didn't care much for the 3 DLC's - I only completed Vaas insanity - it was cool to have him back but all three of these are just horde modes - they could have done so much more.
You definitely get your money out of this game and hope far cry remains a stand alone game - there are rumors that series is going to go the game as a service route.

The game was never broken or unplayable. And it was never "fixed" like Cyberpunk was.
Like every Far Cry game it gets more enjoyable as you progress and start unlocking things.

I couldn't even complete a single mission when I first got it - the game would constantly lock and freeze on me - missions would even "skip ahead" and just say "Completed".
How do you know it was never broken or unplayable for me? Weird.

Your experience is your experience. But I took the liberty of going through this entire thread to see if anyone else described this game as broken or unplayable. None did. One had issues with bugs like a disappearing tank (I did as well). One encountered a glitch in the post game weekly Insurgency, one had a problem related to a forced update and Old Boy noted a problem with Quick Resume. But nobody else called it broken or unplayable or said they couldn't complete a single mission.

Re: Far Cry 6 (10/7/21)
This is the first Far Cry game for me where the story feels completely uninspired and dull.
The combat is a snoozefest - there is literally no tension.....at all.
Also, they STILL HAVEN'T fixed the driving yet - it's still as bad as it ever was.
With all that said....it still has charm and I love the series but Ubisoft now has to slow down and make some major changes to keep this series fresh.
