So, I'm guessing the game makers think of the female character as the main as there have been so many times I've been called she is the male version. Pronouns, people! :P

I used my Ubi points to buy the Rainbow-Unicorn. I owned it in Odyssey too.

Ha! I had that in Odyssey, too. Great because horse can jump off high cliffs and land and keep going.

I bought Wrath the horse. Seemed like a good choice for this game.

I’m like 200hrs in and thought I found all the sync points weeks ago, and was shocked to find a new one today. Geez, this game goes on forever…

Boy,that's dedication. I am about 110 hours in and thought I beat the game but there was still another arch to complete. Now I am done, all order completed, etc. and heading into Discovery tour (which I'm not digging this version as much as the last two....which is a pretty fair statement for the entire game).

Eh. Really starting to hate this game. It's a slog. I'm essentially a god now, just killing everybody in 2 secs. I gave up on all the side missions and just want to finish the damn game already.

Have you not beat the game after 200 hours or are you just trying to complete everything in the game?

I’m not quite 200hrs in, but pretty close now. I must be like level 380. I was spending a lot of time exploring, getting treasures, doing side missions,etc. Even after all that there’s still a shit ton of stuff left to do.

There’s a good game in there somewhere and they could have easily cut down at least 2/3rds of what’s here, but of course that means abandoning the micro transactions, which is the whole point.

I think I’m done with Ubisoft games.

I finally put the game down after 120 hours. There are parts I really loved but, mainly, felt this one was a slog and a set back from Origins and Odyssey, both which I loved. I am pretty sure I have at least another 80-90 hours of stuff in Valhalla but after "finishing" the game I am ok sidelining this one. I didn't like how they handled Discover Tour in this either, one of my favourite things of the last two games. They basically made it another game instead of a narrated encyclopedia of history and design. My other issue with this game is that everywhere kind of looked the same and while true to the era, it was just grimy and depressing. It was a stark contrast to roaming the streets of Athens or Alexandria. That said, the Asguard stuff was fun if not making me want to play God of War.

Now I officially hate the game. I thought I finished the main story line, killed all the order, yet there isn’t even a credits roll, the game just keeps going.

Theres so much unnecessary padding in this game. I barely did and raiding or played the mini games and it really doesn’t matter. I probably only did like half the world-events.

Yeah, that's been the norm for these new AC games. No credits roll which leaves no real sense of completion because, well, there's still so much left do complete.
It was weird in Origins, I was ready for it in Odyssey but felt robbed in Valhalla when I thought "what, that's it?".

Granted, you DO get an end game credits of sort in Odyssey if you complete the crossover missions sooooooo there's that.

I’ll put it down for a while and go back and try and at least getting all the artifacts and such. No way in hell am I going to 100% it.

I hear ya. As mentioned earlier in the thread, I drew the line at putting rocks on top of other rocks.

Those fucking anomaly quests too...I had enough of that climbing up and moving laser beams shit.

I’m close to finishing Odyssey and was thinking about skipping Origins for this (I like the Norse and Greek settings better than Egypt), but all this talk may change my mind. I’ve bought Origins and not Valhalla, so that would be another reason.

Origins is fantastic! I loved the ancient Egypt setting and the fact that I could roam the library of Alexandria or take part in the Battle of the Nile. It really sparked my current love of this time in history and fueled me seeking out documentaries on Ceaser and Cleopatra and the creation fo the pyramids and...and...

Also, this of the three has the best Discovery Tour mode, IMO. So much info.

Valhalla was drab and depressing to wander around and lacked the element of being immersed in this history. But I guess they captured the middle ages perfectly from that stand point but it doesn't make for an enriching game to roam around. The nature aspect, sure. There's some beautiful parts of this came but the bulk is the cities and I really couldn't tell one from another.

I liked Origins better than Odyssey, it's the least grindy of the last 3. It's too bad you didn't play them in order because there is (somewhat) of an underlying story between all of them, especially the last 3.

I bought the Odyssey season pack but it was so grindy I just couldn't bring myself to finish- Valhalla is even worse.

It’s kind of funny that the longest Assassin’s Creed game is the one I spent the least time with. I got all the achievements in Origins and Odyssey (which took 100 and 125 hours or so, respectively), but I finished the main Valhalla story in about 63.5 hours. I liked it more than I thought I might, but I have zero interest in going for all the trophies, clearing out the map icons, or filling out my skill tree.

I did fire up Valhalla this morning to see how I might feel about going all the way, so I finished off the stuff I left behind in Isle of Skye, traveled to Norway, and “nope!”-ed outta there as soon as I looked at the map.

It’s one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played, especially on the PS5, but Valhalla just never connected with me the way Origins or Odyssey did.

I agree with all of this/exact same here. And oddly I just fired it up last night to see if it might draw me back in but, nope. The skill tree now, 1.2% or 1.7% there, seems just cosmetic at this point. Enjoyed it, but Odyssey was significantly better in lots of ways. I'm done with this one.

I took a break about 40% through and haven't gone back. It just drags on way too long.

Valhalla related content seems to be what Ubi is banking on now- they're making all their Valhalla related DLC into standalone releases.

I can't see Skull and Bones doing well- it looks terrible.

I preferred Valhalla to Odyssey. But I preferred Origins to both.

...but are there other standalone releases? I know that Dawn of Ragnarok isn't part of the season pass, but AFAIK, you still have to have the base game in order to play it.

Kassandra was such a great character with great voice acting in Odyssey. I'm struggling with not liking Eivor very much.

Not Valhalla but Skull and Bones was intended to be a Black Flag expansion 10yrs ago. The recent footage looks terrible- the ship to ship fights in Odyssey looked better.
