I'm not as far along as you guys (level 83) but FUCK that sequence of going to Asgard and playing as Havi. That was some boring bullshit and traveling up and down the mountains was an extreme waste of time. I'm so glad I got thru that but I'm certain there is more to come.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
yep....That's just...Dream Sequence 1.....all I'm saying since I just unlocked Dream....
I'm going to put a Player issue on the Official Forum...involving those stupid Zealots.....I'm like Level 235 so I wanted to see just how long, how often one kept healing. So I go after one who is Level 130....perfect situation with my Boat and Crew pestering him and me throwing and shooting.....we had him behind a rock, crew raining down arrows, I'm shooting Fire Arrows and using Missile Return left & right....that sucker healed himself like every 20 seconds like 16 times, never got below half...I was watching him just whip out his Health Drink and BAM....get nearly 25%+ of his health back....we wear him down and there he went again...like watching Vikings guzzle Mead Down.....I go over and about every attack is Red....so bottomless Stamina and Bottomless health...it was a joke....
Hit 250...just going around and hitting all the "White and Gold Spots" racking up Points....
Not sure why...thinking it has something to do with story or something else...but there's two "Raid Points" in Cent ...have completed the area....that I cannot Raid....they're still showing Barrels and Loot and Red Axes, there's a Gold Spike in the Water...but when I get near it the Raid is greyed out and won't trip....
Was wondering and curious to which Armor Sets and PCs everyone is running...I decided to take a peek on some lists and several mentioned ...The Mentor Armor...as Best All-Around....built for crit and Speed but wondering if put something else on for some Boss Battle that handles damage a bit more....
Still running with Two Spears...though have seen some run with Spear and Hammer and some really like Dual Knives...just super fast....

I have been using the Mentor armor for a while. Seems to have worked out well. Tried Thors armor as well, and fine, but quickly switched back.
With regards to certaincertainon the map that are not accessible, some dont come available until later missions.

I got 4 or 5 Mentor Pieces but last night I took a chance and bought two "Berserker Armor" from Reda (Contracts)....spent more Opals than I wanted but I was thinking with the first (2) Set Bonus on it...."Increase Speed when taking Damage until you Heal Yourself (can stack up to Five Times) and each stack last 40 seconds".....
.......then with the (2) Set bonus of The Mentor..."Increase Attack after Critical Hits...can stack up to Five Times and each stack last 35 seconds"
......use the Double Spears, add Crit Damage/Chance Runes....or I even though using the Dual Daggers since they're already blazing fast....Just got all this together last night but tonight will load them in and give it a go....IIncrease"Speed when taking damage until you Heal yourself (can stack up to five times, and each stack lasts 40 seconds)ncreased Speed when king damage until you Heal yourself (can stack up to five times, and each stack lasts 40 seconds)

Yeah, the side quest puzzles are pretty terrible all round. I have not minded then so much in previous games, but in this they are just an annoyance.
I see a new update and 6 new skills to the tree, all of which look dull. After this, Cyberpunk and the weak one two of Cold War and a mess of an update to Warzone i am finding it easy to step away from gaming for the holidays. All should have been awesome games and its proven to be a massive let down all round. Even the new consoles have generated little interest in me and happy to wait. Wonder how long it will take to get a smaller and better looking PS5, as the first model out is hidieous.

I guess those new skills don't show until you get higher....I'm at 275, see the marks but they don't any details.
The Mind game Stuff....well it's ok but I still refuse to to the "Paper Chase"....overall after seeing nearly 75% of the map open.....it's no-where overwhelming like Odyssey. Side stuff is sprinkled about just right, got Curse, Mysteries, Flyting, The Contracts though i still hate the way Fishing Works when I have to still use a Rope while seeing AI using Poles...
My list of Order Agents is about 70% done though I have gave up on The Zealots....for the time being....still haven't gone back to any Legendary Animals yet either...
As to other games, I had Three on My List Months Back; AC: Valhalla, Outriders and maybe get around to The Last of Us Part 2....I got Red Dead 2 months back after a friend kept urging me to get it and we played co-op a lot but she moved back to Borderlands 3 and Division 2 after another friend urged her to come to those game....so Red dead and Fallout 76 are on back-burners now.....I gave Destiny 2: Beyond Light a thought but after just playing the intro part (up to where you need to buy to continue), I didn't see anything new or worthwhile and frankly it pales in comparison to Warframe on all levels which I've been playing day one...
Three us were gung-ho on getting the PS5 back in Summer and had planned on trying for a PO day One...but i started getting a feeling the launch wasn't going to be smooth sailing and with some features not even working...like the Additional SSD Slot or USB Drive....but more importantly there wasn't any "The Game" like it was with PS4....which I still have my Launch Version...with Infamous Second Son, Killzone, Battlefield and of course Warframe...maybe here in a couple of months after the Scalpers & Bots cool down and less mayhem...

Re: Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
Its been an odd end to the strangest year ever. Between Oct - Dec is always the schedule for biggest game of the year releases. This year it just seems to have been one disappointment after another leading up to the king of them all with Cyberpunk. Its almost like a weekly beat down in tempering my desire to game. Hell, even the Warzone updste this week is proving utter trash. I am gonna be happy to step away until a while into 2021 and let build up my passion again.
With regards to AC and the new skills, i dont think they appear until you hit level 400. They changed the one skill point gain to use to mastery to back to 2 skill points for the new skills. Apparently the master skills max out at kevel 30. I am around 20 for each, but not thay bothered about maxing it out. Already massively overpowered.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
I think a lot had to do with this world wide Virus and one reason why I was a bit cautious on getting the PS5 knowing this hit Gaming Developers to Manufacturing which for the most part Consoles are largely made in Asia which got hit the hardest. I know both Sony and MS tried to make it sound like...No slow downs, no issues, right on track and everything is fine"...but that was B.S so not to cause a meltdown during a Nex Gen Release Year....and the evidence is crystal clear with all the games that were suppose to come out but got pushed back....which again is a reason why I held off....
It will all come back but yea, one look at some of the current issues with games and it has not been all "Fine & Dandy" in the Gaming Universe.....I have plenty to fall back on that's solid and proven...Origins & Odyssey....Red Dead 2....Fallout 76....Warframe.....still haven't touched COD WWII when it was Free Game of the Month on PS Store....still toy with Diablo III with Seasons....probably will end up getting The Last of Us Part 2 since I played the first and one of the best I ever played....and most of all, the PS4 is still rocking and not one bi showing it's age with several games showing what it still has...
Thanks for clearing up the new skills...I was beginning to wonder if it was another glitch/bug....

Is that the one in Jotanheim or whatever. “This place isn’t all as it seems.”
It can fuck right off honestly. What is it with Ubisoft games and hallucination missions/levels? Is there a clause in the contract where it’s required? Far Cry is the worst offender when it comes to this.

I have put in another ten or so hours in over the past week, once it became clear that Cyberpunk was a no-go. I’m really digging it again, and have really focused on pushing through with marked quests rather than too many side activities. I’m just over 50 hrs in and at level 150, and it looks like there’s a whole lot more game ahead of me.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
Good question...but considering all the AC games...well early ones...have been in the Europe Region with exception of Origins and Odyssey....and the only other games outside those was AC III....which was focus of The American Revolutionary War...and Black Flag....Spainish and England Era....both of which was 18th century. So maybe with England ties to exploring New Worlds....somehow he hitched a ride?
In case anyone has a friend looking to get...game is $39 on Amazon right now...
After being a bit flustered with the Zealots I had to check and one person basically showed....aim for head, then while stun go for knee, while bending down use the Arrow Ability that slows time and you can deal extra damage to same target with several shots to head while they're bending over.....when they attack do the dodge roll over them, hit in back 1-2 times...back off....rinse and repeat...and of course Return Missile when needed.
i've got a new Glitch Bug and it's really annoying....with the New Festival, somehow everytime I spawn....either starting game or is I die....I'm Drunk; like I just left the Drinking Game. I couldn't complete a Event where I find someone...well half of them....is crushed by a huge rock, read a note and suppose to grab something off them. You can see it but it's too close to the rock and can't pick it up. Had one to fight (way North on top of the Wall)....well he jumped on some lower wall, I killed him but now he's stuck and won't speak. So far probably 5-6 of these that's just bugged I can't finish....

I had a bit of luck last night and a bit odd...I was doing a Raid...then heard that Horn when a Zealot is nearby...next thing I know he rides right in, jumps off and before i knew it two my crew starts laying into him...I stood back and his his weak points...he go after me but then crew go after him....fight was over in about 90 seconds...
Hit 300 and went back to a Heavy Shield and Spear setup. While i like the Dual Spear for more damage, it seems the Single Spear has far more reach. Still have yet try Dual heavy Axes or use one with Shield.
Does anyone know why as you level you it seems like your Crew gets better outfits...is it tied to Settlement or Level. My Crew is a serious bunch of Bada*ses and armored and armed to the core. Last night I come back and see a new Recruit....he could've been my Brother....wearing what looked like mostly Berserker Gear, taller than the others except my Female Lieutenant which I put some Rare Armor (the one you get from Amazon Prime gaming)...she has a Frail and Shield and just goes to town on enemies...

Re: Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
I’m about level 350 and feel like there’s a lot of game left. My go-to melee weapons have been the original ax in my right hand and a flail in my left, but the hunter’s bow is my weapon of choice. I’ve gotten pretty good with headshots and hitting weak spots and in most combat situations, by the time I have to engage in hand to hand, it’s just a smattering of guys that can only take one or two hits each.
I’ve only had sporadic glitches, but they seem more frequent after the latest update. The funniest so far was a quest where I was accompanying an NPC to a camp. I hopped on my horse, but he failed to get on his, so I got back off to walk with him. The horses followed us and his seemed to be really offended at the slight, trampling him multiple times as he uttered various annoyed exclamations.
I’d still put this on the same tier as Odyssey and it may end up as my favorite in the series, as I’m really enjoying the setting and story.

I'm still "Drunk"...when I sign in or even die spawning back in....I have to Fast Travel then back again to get rid of it.....I completed Glowecestrecire last night and that was a bit weird....still have to go back and mop up Curses, Artifacts, Mysteries....it keeps pushing me to go to Winchester which I'll do next I guess since apparently more The Order is there. I'm tempted to try a Dual Dagger set...I put one one with heavy Shield and it was almost funny to watch....the speed difference with it versus all the other weapons is obvious.

Yes, being drunk is a bug that happens when you start the game, load a save, have relations, wake-up, it goes away fairly quickly when doing quests.
