Mine have plummeted to 69 per turnip now. However, from older games, I don't think the best prices are ever on Mondays or Fridays. I think Tuesday and Wednesday usually have the highest prices. I might be having a volatile week. I also remember people having weeks that it steadily climbed or steadily decreased. I guess we'll have to see.

So out of curiosity I purchased the robot hero DIY plans for 5k Nook miles. It requires 1 rocket (furniture piece), 1 gold armor (clothing item), 30 rusted parts (found 2 or 3 in the recycle box), 90 iron nuggets, and 10 gold nuggets. Well, I won’t be building this for the foreseeable future. The only item I have enough of is iron nuggets.

I’d kill for a wood fence recipe right now. I keep trampling over my flowers by accident.
Also, should I be stockpiling resources (wood, iron, native fruit) as much as possible, or should I only keep minimal amounts on hand and sell the rest? I’m sure it’s a personal preference but I’m curious what others do.

C.J. the social media fisherman visited my island today. He pays a premium price for any fish you want to sell him, so if you catch any high value ones, it's best to hold onto them until he comes along.
As for tarantulas, I've got a house full of them now. Timmy and Tommy will pay $8k, but there's some visitor that will apparently pay $12k. At that big of a difference, I'll wait on selling them until that character shows up (I'm not sure what their name is, sorry).

Flick is in my town today and is giving a very nice return if you sell him bugs. He's a new character as he has never been in any of the previous AC games.

Suggestions for an in game memorial for a friend who passed?
Right now I have a stone tablet or whatever it's called acting as the grave stone and have it in a bed of flowers fenced in on the highest plateau of my island.
Is there anything that can be customized I can use instead of the generic stone tablet item?

I think you can customize a design, and then use it on a stand, or display it somehow. I've seen it before, but I haven't done it myself.

Man, you're way more organized than me, I just plop it down next to my workbench. Of course, I've only opened my town up to my family so far. I should probably tidy up a bit before I let others come over.

How many pieces of fence do you get per craft? Is it one little section for each or do you get a bunch (like the 50 Nook gives you to start)?

Turnip price is 73 for me tonight
My Nook's Cranny is selling toilet paper (actually a set that has a couple of rolls with it) tonight.

I think seeing other's progress can be kind of discouraging, since I'm playing maybe 30-45 min/day and haven't made nearly as much headway as others. Everyone's talking about turnips, and I'm totally in the dark! lol
But I am enjoying playing at my own pace. It can be a struggle finding things to do sometimes. Going to other islands seems to net the same type of resources I get from harvesting my own island, just more of them. And on days that I'm not getting good recipes or items from the shop, I'm kind of stuck chopping more wood, hitting rocks, catching bugs, etc, which I guess is the point, but I honestly can't tell.

In fact every day (from very early) you should:
1) hit every rock with a shovel, try to get at least 7 hits. You can get 8 I think only if you have a tree or something right behind you.
2) Find all your fossils. Usually three but I've gotten six before (some may be inaccessible early)
3) Log into the nook points thing at the atm for bonus points
4) Do the bonus nook points chores if possible
5) Find a bottle on the beach for a DIY recipe
6) Talk to neighbors, find special visitors, fish and catch bugs and sell the excess for bells, pop balloons, shake trees(at least one furniture a day), shake fruit trees so new fruit grows, chop trees for wood, etc.

turnips are just a side thing. There is a character that comes to your island on Sunday morning (leaves at noon) that sells turnips. The price is variable. If you buy some you can sell them later at Nook's Cranny. It's like a stock market thing, sell them back when the price is high. You can't grow them, they are simply just a buy a bunch low, and sell them higher during the week.

Just make sure you're hitting your rocks (with a shovel) every single day. Early on there are a couple of bottlenecks, one related to bells (paying off that loan) and another related to iron, both of which you can get from rocks. Just pray your rocks aren't all inaccessible in the beginning...
In fact every day (from very early) you should:
1) hit every rock with a shovel, try to get at least 7 hits. You can get 8 I think only if you have a tree or something right behind you. This is usually how you know what to do to 'progress' further.

7) Talk to Tom, as he'll usually have a task or something he's waiting on you to complete.
Right now, he's waiting for me to make my island look nicer (adding stuff, removing weeds, etc.) that I just haven't got around to. I've been hoarding tarantulas, waiting for Flick to show up so I can sell them at 12k bells a piece. Once I do that, I'll have a lot of cash to spend on whatever I need.
I didn't know this before hand, but if you're holding your net when you find a wasp nest, you can catch them instead of letting them sting you.
Also, be sure to play for ~30 minutes on your birthday. It's fun.

Also don't forget to check out the cabinet in the shop for new walls/floors each day. Those rotate like the items for sale on the floor.

Oh, and my turnip price finally went up today. I went ahead and sold them at 122.
And everything went Easter today (a couple of new objectives with that) along with the some new fish/butterflies/bugs.
