This is how I can tell my kids love this game:

All day long they're bugging me about the Mario crossover stuff. They knew from the direct that the update was dropping today (2/25) and they marked it on their calendar. What they didn't know was that the update came out today but the Mario stuff can't be ordered until March 1 (though you do get a surprise in your mailbox today).

Yep, they’ve been talking about it. Looking forward to making my island look like a big Mario game.

The sad thing is, it’s going to take a while to get all the stuff. With the limit of ordering five things per day, I’m going to have to rely on others to send me two items per day per friend. I’ve got a pretty good network of folks that I might be able to get a little over a dozen things every day. Maybe you might want to set something up like that here. It’ll help us collect the items faster.

Two of my kids live on my island and two of my kids live on my wife’s island… So between us we can get 15 things per day per island and if we send each other stuff, we could get a lot more. Hopefully within a week we’ll have just about everything.

Thanks, that’s a good idea. Yeah, the whole 5 Max daily stuff is kind of lame. But I’m up for crowdsourcing getting all of the Mario stuff.

I'm going to try and get a pack, but I have a feeling they will be gone quick. I read that it might only be online/pickup orders, but I don't know how true that is.

It states that on the Target description. They will not be able to purchase in stores. You have to purchase online for delivery or pickup.

I do not think you can order for delivery. Only drive up or in store pickup. I assume this will go up on Sunday morning but not sure. What I am sure of is that the Target website will be terrible.

The dumb thing about this is: I assume stores want these exclusives to drive foot traffic. Releasing just via in store pickup or drive up prevents that. I guess I'm glad we're getting it at all and that I don't have to go into the store to get it, just seems like a really odd way to do an exclusive.

Target is the one place I never think that needs more foot traffic. I wish they had less.
