I can only get the spooky DIYs from residents in their home at the workbench, and it seems I can only get one a day. I've yet to see a spooky DIY in a balloon or bottle, anyone else finding this?

I’ve received 1 from a balloon. My only duplicate. There are only 14 spooky DIYs. 4 of which you can only receive on Halloween. So there is only 10 to collect before then.

I've had a couple from balloons, but yeah, you get 1 from a Villager each day, that's the easy way to get them.

Hello all. Newbie to the site. My kid wanted this game for Christmas so I picked it up. I heard so much about it so I picked up one for me as well and started playing it. I assume we can play it in separate switches at the same time under the same “online account” since it’s the physical game and not digital?

also I’m on day there and need 30 iron nuggets for the store. I flew to one island and invited someone to life on my island (not there yet) but now my only options are local one online.

do I need friends to play or can I go to any island

Should be able to play online at the same time. Not sure I understand the next question. You are looking for 30 iron nuggets? Local or online is the only option you see at the airport? You might need Nook Miles Tickets from the ATM in the town center to visit mystery islands. To visit real people, you need to be friends with them while they open their gates, or invite you via Dodo code.
