I don’t know how/if that is even meant to work. I know PC mods on Xbox Store games can be hit or miss. Since Deb’s into mods/cheats, I imagine it’s just easier overall to stick with Steam and Epic.
Oh, I missed that since this is the Xbox thread. You can start a game on Gamepass on the Xbox and continue on a paid version after it leaves Gamepass, right?

It's very easy to convert a Gamepass PC save to a Steam save but it does require a bit of know-how. You have to be able to find the Gamepass save file on your PC and re-name it to match the format of Steam save files.

As long as you’re on the same platform the whole time (Xbox or PC) absolutely yes.

The only restriction I’m aware of is if you’re trying to move between Xbox and PC gameplay, and that’s primarily because most games aren’t “Play Anywhere” enabled so the saves aren’t compatible. Exceptions would only be games that are “cross save” which usually includes logging into a publisher account like Ubi or EA or whatever.

Could you show me a link? I have a game I can test this on. Microsoft just makes it more difficult than it has to be whereas Epic and Steam don't. I don't even have to look up where to find the files, I can get there on my own with Epic.

Every link I just tried to click on was blocked at work but there are quite a few out there if you search. Most seemed to be from the Steam Community site.

I know where the Gamepass file is. I know where the steam save file is (I made a backup). I copy the Gamepass file and rename it to what the steam save file is named and it doesn't populate my Gamepass save.

The Gamepass is under packages and wgs etc. The steam is under appdata and witch something.

Black Ops 6 will be on GamePass on release day.

Great news for people like me who only play the campaign.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Also three new models of the consoles. Nothing surprising:
Xbox Series S 1TB "Robot White" - $349.90.
Xbox Series X 1TB "Robot White" All Digital - $449.90.
Xbox Series X 2TB "Galaxy Black" - $599.90.
As far as I can tell, they all have the same stupid expansion card slot on the back instead of a proper M.2 slot.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I’ve been let down by so many showcases from every platform holder, publisher, and marketeer under the sun that I can’t even remember the last one that impressed me*, but geez, that was genuinely great. (Though admittedly, the first half was stronger for me than the second.) Very heavy on gameplay, solid variety in style, and a very high “yes, I want to play that” ratio.
Spoiler:
* Excluding Wholesome Games Direct, since those have consistently been delightful!
